  2. I want to fit my ipod in the small compartment with the lid next to the handbrake on my IS200, so i'm after some advice, tips and ideas on the best way to go about it. My thinking at the minute is a sort of base that the ipod will lie flat on so the lid will still close, i'd then need something to hold it in place so it won't slide about, so maybe a top section, same shape as the base but with a hole cut out the same size as the ipod that it sits in, but the so the power and audio leads will be hidden? Kind of like an ipod sandwich??

It's a flaming awkward shape so *** knows how i'm going to do it or what materials i'm going to use, can anyone offer up some help??

    Cheers, Stu.

  3. No, not a Rangers fan-i prefer proper football!!! :whistling:

  4. Philips Bluevision bulbs are a lot better than stock. I would save up and get the HID kit though. My bluevision bulbs in my full beam are yellow compared to my HIDs :winky:

:offtopic: going by your avatar are you a Rangers fan?

Thanks for the reply, I'll have a look at those then.

No, not a Rangers fan-i prefer proper football!!! :whistling:

  5. I cant afford a HID kit yet or rather there's a 100 things i'd rather do to the car 1st so can anyone recommend some replacement headlight bulbs instead? I'm thinking something like the Xenon bulbs maybe, i like the white light effect and improved light they give off-a bit like new street lights compared to the dull old ones!! Any suggestions? Thanks....Stu.

  6. :crybaby: Sickening isn't it, especially when it's some other ******'s fault, then to make it worse they've got a crappy little car thats not worth a carrot!

Yours will be fine, Lexus body shop is fantastic, when you get it back no one will know the difference, you wont be able to tell yourself really, it's just that you'll know its happened and it'll be niggling at you, so you'll be looking for it to feel and look different. Just try and forget about it when you've got it back and enjoy it-don't forget the whiplash claim either!! :D

  7. I really like the look of the prolex induction kit and the pics i've seen of others that have had kits fitted look really good with the bonnet up as well. I'm considering getting one as my fisrt performance mod due to it being one of the cheaper options to start with. Does it make much of a difference or is it more pleasing to the eye than an improvement in performance?

    Thanks.......

  8. Right after loads of umming errrring and arrring i've decided i want a screen in my is200, ideally i want it where the satnav screen goes set up like SteveAudioX did his, here's the topic link-

    http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/ind...ic=9184&hl=

    It's superb, i want.

Can anyone help me out as to where to start with it?

I dont want satnav, got a tom tom that gets me about and the prices in steve's thread would have me up for divorce before i even thought about getting it fitted.

    Thanks....Stu

  9. That's weird, where are the sunroof controls on that first one - didn't all the IS range come with a Sunroof?

Or was the car available without which is why the controls are missing on the second one? Altezza maybe?

    Nope, not got a sunroof....

Just a quick point has Niraj and any others got bayonet bulbs as well, hard to tell from the pics??

    Stu.

  10. I'm wanting to replace my interior bulbs to match the door lights that Mike supplied, I'm ordering the one that comes on when you open the doors from him and want to replace the map lights by the rear view mirror as well. Mike posted a thread on here asking about the map lights and most replies said there was only one bulb, but i've just taken mine out and there's 2 bulbs with 2 switches, one for the drivers side and one for the passengers side. Has anyone else got 2 bulbs with their map lights, one for each side?

    Thanks guys....

    Stu.

  11. Fitted a pair of these a couple of days ago to my IS Sport........simple to do. Just make sure you use the smaller Red 5 amp Scotchlocks to connect the wires, as they are pretty thin. You'll need to pull out the door courtesy lights to find which colour wires to connect in the footwell.
