  1. from one wheel or both at the same time?

ie if you corner left is it the left wheel that makes the noise & right the right wheel?

Could be that is now lower and there's less room for the body to travel on the springs before clunking on whatever part of the suspension it presses up against, less play with the springs or something like that? I noticed the same thing years ago when i last had a car lowered.

But i might just be talking rubbish.........

  2. finally, got it done! left the garage at soke-on-trent(haven't got time go to nottingham :crying: ) with smile.. two passengers windows are top quolity....but when i got home, found some bubbles on the back window...:offtopic::sick::offtopic: should/can i tell him to do it again or it can't avoid?? it costs me 140...will post some pics. any one got some domain that i can upload pics?? ;)

That's cheap, had mine done this wednesday, £311 inc VAT was told it could be a bit patchy for 48-72hrs as it dries but should be 100% ok after that-it is, could be a case of you get what you pay for? Did you open your windows or have the heating on ful belt at all?

Nice front grille on that where did you get it from?

  3. and i happen too have a set of eibach lowering springs for sale :shifty:

Much as i'd love the coilovers to drop it on the floor, the bank manager won't let me have them! How much are the springs fella & whats up with them :winky: ? Will they make a noticeable difference to how low it looks, because it looks like its on stilts with the standard set up(comfy ride tho).

  4. I've been thinking about getting my IS200 lowered, is the best i can reallistically hope for a -30mm drop? Is it worth getting a roll bar fitted at the same time, or are they easy to fit later on, do they really make any difference?

    Thanks for any advice!!

  5. HI EVERYONE JUST NEW TO THE FORUM AND IN DESPRATE NEED OF 4 STANDARD IS ALLOYS (5 SPOKE) JUST BOUGHT AN IS200 ON A XPLATE AND ITS GOT HORRID ALLOYS ON IT CAN ANYONE HELP :duh:

Which wheels are you after the S, SE or the Sport?

  6. Fitted the CK3100 kit myself after reading all the threads on the wiring for the radio. You can't run the car kit through the radio without the AUX IN kit advertised elsewhere in this forum but I used an existing Nokia speaker from an existing car kit (my car is ex-rep but still wonderful). Also used the existing Nokia mic as it was all plumbed in (but had to swap the connector).

Anyway - easiest scenario; use an external speaker, use the Parrot mic, the grey wire on the stereo is the MUTE.

Greatest thing I have ever fitted to a car, the sound quality is fabulous, you can call a number by talking to it and the quality on the other end is brilliant.

Downside; if you are talking to passengers in your car as you go along it sometimes thinks you want to call someone, mutes the radio and says it doesn't recognise that name - swearing at it then just makes it worse

    Cheers; :geek:

BOUGHT ONE AND HAD IT FITTED, NO IDEA HOW OR WHAT THEY'VE DONE BUT IT WORKS THROUGH THE CAR STEREO PERFECTLY, GUESSING THEY HAV FITTED ONE OF THE ADAPTERS THEN!!

  7. I've been toying with the idea of getting a sat nav either Tom Tom or Navman and want to sit it in the 'space' above the air vents (i think its for the Lexus fitted sat nav) does anyone know what that part of dashboard area is like to remove to hide the wiring for it? Is it easy to do because i'd hate to ruin the dash? Thanks for any help & advice...
