The sales side is great, really helpful. After my car was vandalised and I tried to get the bodywork repaired, they weren't interested. I ended up having to go to Isleworth (fantastic), but it's a bit galling going all that way when I live 5 mins from Bracknell!:flaming::flaming:

Have you tried reading Claire - I thought they were pretty good.

Rodders_UK, does your car have a CD player? If so, then you already have a decent mp3 player. If your PC has a CD-R drive then you can record mp3's to a CD-R disk and the CD player will play it. In my IS200 I have 6 disk cd player filled with my collection of mp3's. You will need something like Nero Burning CD ROM s/w to write the mp3's to the CD-R. This converts the mp3 to a format suitable to play on a CD player. If you want further info, just ask.

As for suggestions on what electronic gismo to fit to the car, I would suggest a babe magnet.

GRiM - are you recording MP3 format onto CD and it's playing in your car??

What bitrate are you using to rip??

What ISO setting do you need for Nero in order to record these so that they will work. I've got a DVD player here that will read them, but the car doesn't so far.

    Cheers

Wrong Jimbo - the administrators have already got a MASSIVE stash of fabulous prizes already - cos that's where they come from!!!:lol:
  4. Hi Pete

Not sure if this is what you mean, but I've added a Snooper, Trafficmaster Monitor and Nokia CARK-91 to mine.

I would like to find a source for replacement speakers, and for supply/fit of a decent MP3 player.

  5. Squeeking brakes are caused by the pads vibrating at high speed. Many people find that the problem can be reduced by thoroughly flushing the pads with water. You might also find that adding copper grease to the rear of the pads can reduce the noise - but this should be done by a brake specialist.

AFAIK, brake seal is NOT a sign of worn pads though.

There's been a thead about this before - have a search through the forum listings.
