  1. Got this under is200 accessories in fensport ..

Enlarged photo and can see it has 6 speed markings on it.

But after all that Andy I rather like yours and Zee's round one :P  :D :D

It does have six markings on it, but look closely at the bottom right one (where sixth gear should be) and you will see it says 'R' for reverse.....

  2. It all depends on what you are doing and where you are doing it :D

Unfortunately, as Zee found out the other week, the police (bless 'em) can be very picky indeed at cruises. I don't think you would get pulled for them just driving on normal roads, but at a cruise you would probably get pulled and they could check them, and end up asking you to remove them if they are not E-marked.

I say risk it Maz :)

  3. The only problem with that TRD knob, is that the embossed shift pattern on top is for a five speed car (GXE-10 Altezza I think) and I think the reverse is in the wrong place too. Only a minor problem but it would bug the h e l l out of me.....

Zee and I both have the round leather TRD knob which is about the same size as the standard IS200 knob TRD_SHIFT_KNOB.jpg

  4. 5 stud, 114.3mm PCD, 45mm offset.

Recommended 7.5" x 18" fronts, 8.0" or 8.5" x 18" at the back. If you are running low then go for 8.0" at the back.

On the 7.5" fronts, go for a 225/40/18 tyre, 8.0" rears go for a 235/40/18 tyre, 8.5" rears go for a 255/35/18 tyre.

    Hope this helps imi :)

  5. $460 aint too bad Asam. I have paid $370 with ESPS and they have no tracking numbers so you have no idea where your package is or when it will arrive  :(

I say go with UPS, I would if I was doing it again.

  6. Not a happy bunny.

Order tyres, not in when 1st attempt made to deliver. Carrier (Parcel Line) has now 'lost' the tyres.

Mytyres.net have been great through this, are now shipping another set & sorting out Parcel Line.

Whats the betting some goon @ Parcel Line is now driving around with a neat pair of Toyo's? Goddamn it.

    Arggg!

I ordered 4 new Toyos from mytyres two weeks ago and Parcel Line messed up on my order too. I rang mytyres to find out where my tyres were (they should have been 5 days but still had not arrived after 10) and apparantly <_< Parcel Line had tried to deliver them twice but could not find my place of work!!! I rang them and they had the full address and postcode but could not find it

The best bit about it is, when the driver finally turned up, it was the same driver who always delivers from Parcel Line and he has been hundreds of times before :arrrggg-matey:

Parcel Line seem to employ muppets for drivers :duh:

  7. There are two sets. One runs under the metal shelf, which is the one you can see from inside the boot (for the 6x9 woofer) and one (for the tweeter) runs in between the two layers of the shelf which can be accessed by removing the top layer (the bit with the speaker grilles attached to it)

Do a search for 'rear speaker removal' if you want to know how to get to the tweeter feed

  8. EBC brakes will be classed as a performance modification. If you look on the EBC website, the greenstuff pads are classed as being for 'heavy/fast street use' i.e. performance brake pads. The turbogroove discs are also classed as performance discs. I know the main reason that eveyone fits them is because of the brake dust, but still they are a performance enhancing modification. Don't give your insurance company any excuse not to pay out. In the event of an accident your brakes will be one of the first things they check.

If you are lucky your insurance company will not increase your premium, but if they do, it won't be by much so why risk it?

  9. Hi Andy (great name mate  )

I have talked to Lexus several times about this, and there is a thread discussing it HERE

Although this thread is not ICE related, the same applies. As long as the part you have fitted has not directly caused the fault, then you are fine.

    Hope this helps :)

  10. The conversion uses dual filament lamps kev, the dimmer one being for the tail lights and the brighter filament for the brake lights. They still work as fog lights when required.

To be honest, I don't really care that it contravenes the road vehicles lighting regulations, I reckon that making you more visible when braking has to be a good thing. It cant be that bad as this is standard on JDM spec cars. It doesn't dazzle anyone because the larger filament used in the twin filament lamps is exactly the same wattage as a regular fog light lamp. I will probably get some replies saying that the reflector design is different on fog lights making them brighter blah blah blah, but if you follow a car with this done, they are no brighter than the brake lights.

It is not really going to cause anyone a problem until MOT time anyway, unless you get a very clued up police officer :D  :D  :D  :D  :D

For your MOT it can be reversed by simply disconnecting one wire.

Yet another stupid British law...............

  11. I saw one at the motorshow last year and I have to agree with Mat, they are the single ugliest 4x4 I have ever seen. I reckon they are on a par with the Fiat Multipla in the ugliness stakes.......

Looks like they couldn't be bothered to design the front end so they stuck a Boxter nose on it (or should that be boxers nose? )

  12. Pics would be great, I would love to see a stripped down IS............

It looked wierd enough when it had no engine and you could see the floor through the gear lever opening, so I would love to see one with no suspension or tranmission :D
