  1. That's right, 7.5j x 18, ET45 offset.

My styling kit rims came with 225/40/18's but the IS300 Lexus Sheffield had in their showroom had 235/40/18's fitted. This is a bit wierd because on the Toyo website it states that a 235/40/18 can only be fitted with a 8.0j rim........ :duh:

  2. I thought the £105k Range Rover was a bit overpriced....

An extra £45k for 100bhp, slight transmission ECU mod and a set of rims :duh:

Its all very well and good having a 2.5 tonne off road drag racer, but what happened when they showed it a corner??:lol::lol::lol:

  3. So what has the bhp/mph gone up to then.

Well Mark @ Tdi reckons approx 15-20bhp increase (its the hoses that do it :P )

If your not gona go the SuperCharger way then i highly recommend Unichip,, You can notice the increase in response and the smoothness in acceleration, cant say what extra mph its given me as i havent gone flat out (again :whistling: ) allegedly

No engine mods on the IS will give you a greater top speed without either:

    1.) Removing the rev limiter

    2.) Changing the transmission ratios

3.) Changing the engine/transmission (like on Clawley's beast)

The s/c cars still top out at an indicated 141mph, the same as the n/a ones, the only thing you can alter is how fast it gets there!

  4. Hi Guy's,

Has anyone seen where I can buy a front strut brace for my IS200?

I've looked at HKS,TRD,CUSCO etc.. but they all list them for the Altezza, which is a different height(engine sits lower in the bay).

Also I have an induction kit on order, will this cause any problems with finding a strut brace to clear the inlet pipe???

    Any coments are apreciated.

          Cheers..... :)

Are you sure a strut brace will fit with a N/A induction kit Mat?

The induction pipework that goes into the air intake on top of the engine would have to have a pretty tight bend on it, like the one on the s/c cars.

My advice would be to wait until you get the induction kit and borrow a strut brace (at JAE maybe?) from someone and try it

  5. I don't know why I bother sending things by Royal Mail, it is the most unreliable service I have ever come across :tsktsk:

I will chase it up tomorrow Mat, as you said they should have been there Friday or at the latest today

    I **** hate the **** **** ***** ****ing ***** **** ***** Royal Mail :tsktsk: :tsktsk: :tsktsk: :tsktsk: :tsktsk: :tsktsk:

  6. LOZ... what kind of donuts, i prefere twinkys

they make more of a mess though.....well unless the donughts are creme filled ones.....the ones Harty likes

You should know by know Clawley that I prefer the more savoury things in life........

    mmmmmmmmmm 3am wursts

  7. Top meet fella's we must do it again sometime soon. I think Stoke is the best MMM venue so far, definately better than Notts from a cruising point of view - we only saw one law enforcement(!) officer all night.

I never saw the Bimmer lose it in my mirror - just shows the difference between the two cars though eh?

The TOC boys certainly had the cars of the meet, the Corolla's power was just phenomenal.

Better not mention the fact that we enjoyed ourselves too much though as I don't think certain people approve of this sort of meet :shutit:

  8. Now the main advantage here would be that I need to pick some stuff up from Harty who I think is coming to the meet.

Harty, is that okay with you, buddy!?

    Loz :zee: :yahoo::ph34r:

Indeed it is Mr. Lawrence :)

I have 7 parcels for you to open - it will be just like Christmas without the nasty jumpers...

  9. It was a fantastic weekend, I just wish more UK guys could have come. It is a fantastic venue and we could have an entire field to ourselves (instead of sharing with speedo wearing bikers :crying: ) if more cars turn up to the next one B)

As Mat said, the temperature never dropped below 30 degrees all weekend, so it was BBQ after BBQ (the first one was at 3am if I remember  ) and beer after beer.

I will try and get a review out before too long so you guys could see what you really missed :)

  10. I was very impressed with www.mytyres.net

    I got 2x 225/40/18's and 2x 235/40/18's Toyo Proxes T1S delivered for £450

No-one in the UK could get anywhere near them for price. I know you have to pay to have them fitted, but that only cost me £24 for the set

The Toyo's are the best tyres I have ever had by far, there is no comparrison between them and the Pirelli P-Zero Rosso's that were fitted from new

  11. I'll second that, I wouldn't change to any other manufacturer after having HKS.

The quality is second to none - I once reversed into a rockery on a neighbours drive at about 5mph. Fearing the worst, I went round to the rear of the car to find sandstone dust in the tailpipe  but on closer inspection, it never even marked it :yahoo:

How many other exhausts could you say that about??

  12. I've just fitted these HID lamps (4100K) to the low beam, i am very impressed with the difference, so much so that i have ordered them for the high beam too, they should be here on wednesday. The first set took about 1 hour to fit and are also 4100K to match, needless to say i will be out driving on wednesday evening.

This product is highly recommended for anyone with a 200 who is not satisfied with the factory fitted lamps, all i need to do now is the fog lamps ! and get rid of those HIGHLY OVER RATED, EXPENSIVE, Piaa bulbs. :D

Better be careful saying how good the HID's are mate, the LOC police will give you a severe dressing down :shutit: :whistling:
