    Did I say

    Dirty Thieving rotten bar stewards

  2. Only noticed it when the engine is cold and idleling I can hear it inside and outside of the car sounds like its coming from the middle or the rear of the car but quite hard to pinpoint it seems to go away when the engine has warmed up,

I never had anything like this with my old IS...

    Any Ideas please guys?

    Cheers

    Gordon

  3. Yes for another 6months :crybaby:

    Hi all,

I've been a customer of Pipex Broadband for a year and a half now with no problems when I 1st joined their customer service and services were great boasting about UK only call centers query's were always resolved quickly etc etc,

The past few weeks I've been having network connection problems when I phoned CS it appeared I was being put through tho call centers in the far east etc etc spending ages on hold for the simplest of query's this morning when I tried to connect I had a load of problems tried to call them spent 20mins on hold and gave up waiting...... after an hour or two the network started connection again I tried to log onto my pipex mail to contact them and was being redirected to tiscali login home page.............errrrrrr I hate tiscali have used them in the past I know about all the problems they have etc etc

I found a report that Pipex/tiscali have been slowly merging together and it shows by the poor service I've already received it also said they have tried to keep it quiet from Pipex existing customers why? because I know how crap tiscali are thats why....

Anyway I Suppose my question is.... I obviously don't like tiscali and would rather swap my supplier do you think I can do this without breaching my contract with Pipex?

Are you still in contract with them??

  5. The insurance company will add the points to your policy but you won't have to pay any extra untill the renewal qoute is worked out best to tell them straight away........

I had a simmilar situation a few months back were someone reversed into me in a car park they were very apologetic and offered to cover the cost of any damage

I got the car inspected had a qoute drawn up £350ish sent it to the guy he phoned me to say that the qoute was far to expensive and we should go through the insurance

Insurance companys contacted and a slap on the wrist for not reporting it immidatly they said they were within their rights to reject the claim and cancell the policy

Just be carfull its not always as clear cut as it looks it depends on the person he hit wether they are genuine or want to take you for a ride...

    Good Luck

  6. The offer still stands if anyone is intrested

When I traded in my IS220D for the IS200 I kept the original(black) Lexus mats they are sitting at the bottom of my stairs taking up space so....

Anyone who is willing to collect them is welcome to them (high Wycombe)

All in good condition just need a quick vacuum

The 1st to PM me will get them not sure if the mats for auto or manual are different but these mats are from 220 Manual

    Cheers

  7. I know :shutit: I had the same problem recently they only wanted to offer me 8.5K for a 06 SEL with MM although it had 65k on the clock i still managed to push it to 10K just bear that in mind

Scary thought when i paid 15K for it 8 Months earlier :shutit: :shutit: :crybaby::unsure:

Don't want to depress everybody in the run-up to Xmas, but here goes anyway.

I've been looking at replacing my IS 220d SE with a BM 125i Coupe, and got a shock. Went down the local BM dealer today, borrowed the Coupe for the day, got back there about 4pm and started negotiating.

Well, wanted to start negotiating, except the chappie came straight to the point and said he could only offer £9k for my IS. 9K!!!!! :crybaby: The car is in near mint condition, no scrapes on alloys, only 19,300 miles, 06 reg March 2006, parking sensors, FSH etc. Glass's says it's worth around £12k, but apparently book means nothing at the moment.

He said the market was in freefall and only one of his contacts even wanted to make a proper offer. He p!ssed me off a bit by saying that if it had MM it would sell for a lot more, but he's trying to sell me an ex-management BM also without SatNav - but of course BMs don't need SatNav to keep their value...

Looks like I'll be taking the IS into warranty-expired territory - wish me luck!!!

  8. Hello Mate.

Yes a very bad experiance indeed nothing but problems but hey i'm a happy man again back with my 1st love the IS200.. I do miss a lot of the toys but you really do notice the difference in driving experience I mean going back to the old IS I really feel like i'm driving a car again and not the other way around the old IS is defo the "drivers Car" and has the more Rustic feel to it

I'll leave it up to the collector if they want make any donations to LOC

But no takers at the minute :crybaby:

You went from the 220 back to a 200? Was your experience of the 'new' IS that bad? :)

As for your offer of 'free' pick up on the car mats - fair play to you fella - but how about asking the person who gets your mats to make a small donation to the LOC instead? That way everyone benefits :)

  9. When I traded in my IS220D for the IS200 I kept the original(black) Lexus mats they are sitting at the bottom of my stairs taking up space so....

  10. Thanks for the info mate I was looking at that parrot system... the MKI9200 seems to tick all the boxes my mobile phone contract is up for renewal next week I might look into some deals maybe I can tie in a car Kit with a new mobile phone contract so watch this space....

  11. I have now taken delivery of my new IS200SE Paltinum Ice with sat nav

One of the toys i'm already missing from my 220D is the phone Bluetooth connection...

So i'd like your suggestions as to what aftermarket Bluetooth systems you are all using and wheather they are any good......?

Secondly has anyone used this guy before?

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/GENUINE-LEXUS-IS200-...A1%7C240%3A1318

    Seems like a fair price,

I also have the newer IS200 alloys which I dont really like so I will probably change I prefer the older stlye so if anyone would consider swapping......?

  12. I did ask the dealer what he thought of my choice of move and of course he thought I'd be better of with the SR......but also said I'm certainly not the 1st and won't be the last to revert back to the old IS which made me feel a little better....my bad experiences with the diesel engine are not just mechanical so i wouldn't feel to comfortable driving around in the new petrol IS constantly wondering if......

the window wipers will stick half way up the screen, the rear demister will stop working, the leather will ware of the seats, the cd player will stop working causing the car to be off the road for a month because just for the cd player they have to replace the whole center console, the power steering will fail,my key-less entry system will stop working, the car won't start because of immobilizer faults,i leave a cloud of white smoke every time I pull away and on and on

I could go on forever.... And i really don't want to put anyone off i truly believe I had the Friday afternoon car the new IS is a fabulous car when its working but once bitten twice shy for me 4 yrs of owning my old IS the only problem I ever had was a brake light bulb going..

And I really hope I have the same luck with this one my god I think I deserve it

    Rant over Goodnight all

  13. Oh I really will miss the toys I'm sure :crybaby::crybaby: reverse camera, memory seats, rear screen shade, bluetooth connection :crybaby::crybaby::crybaby: but in all honesty the toys are all great to start but realisticly after a week or two most are never used again

And there was a fair bit of negative equity on the old car but after a bit of bargaining with the dealer we came to a fair for all agreement. I was very tempted to go for the New 250SR they were trying to talk me into it but my hart lied with the 200 I know that that will be relatively hassle free motoring I HOPE :whistling:

Nice to have you back in the IS200 fold, does sound like you had a right nightmare with that 220d, did it cost you to change or was it a straight swap?

It is a great car, reason why I've still got mine after so many years - although not sure I would have been able to go back from having all those extra toys after having had them.........any reason why you didn't swap to an IS250 instead? (although I'd imagine that would have cost you a fair amount more)
