  1. Hi Carole. You can't is the answer. Street names/city only i'm afraid. Not sure if the updated disc gives you this option. I'm after one myself. Gary
  2. Hi Mark. The beep is the car telling you the tyres are low pressure. This is because the sensors are built into the original wheel valves. You need to get them swapped into the new wheels. Gary Thanks Gary.....Unfortunately the wheels were already on the car when I bought it. Should I purchase these sensors from Lexus or can tha alarm be deactivated? Thanks again for your initial help. Kind Regards. Mark. The module is behind the ashtray. I beleive it can be disabled by your lexus dealer but not sure what effect just unplugging it has. The sensors aint cheap! Try contacting the previous owner. He may know where they are. Gary
  3. Ok i'll tell you.... £80 Including lead, and it fits under the seat, in the arm rest or the boot. But only if your quick and use ebay lol
  4. Look on here buddy. http://www.lexusclub.co.uk/home.htm
  5. Does anyone know how much the Lexus MD changer is? Also where does it fit? Gary

  7. Not that i'm aware of. I'll try it.
  8. With the doors locked, press and hold the unlock button on your remote until the windows begin to move. A couple of seconds later the roof should kick in. Same again to close.
  9. I had exactly that problem. 1) To bleed the system, either add a bleed valve to the uppermost pipe, at the rear of the engine, next to the screen. 2) or, place car uphill and start engine, place heating controls to full hot inside and squeeze tube to burp the system, with top removed from radiator, adding water as needed. Sound should go. I just topped up the system and it cured it.
  10. That seems VERY steep. Have a look on ebay but DON'T buy red/greenstuff pads as they're ****. Shop around. I found a full set of front and rear discs and pads for aroud £170 all in. Fronts only will obviously be much cheaper.
  11. That'll be the heat shield. Not a big problem to replace, although i've no idea of the cost. Prob be cheaper to have one made from a peice of stainless by your local exhaust shop no doubt. While on the subject of rust; My other 'Lexus' is a Soarer TT. It's 18 this Nov. My second TT. Nothing on these cars rusts. Is it the Jap climate? Not likely. They have major salty weather storms over there. Anyone got an idea???
  12. Have a word with Luke. WWW.Soarer.tv
  13. It's really not a big deal to clean them. I'm a big advocate of diy (lol) That aside, if you understand how something works, you can fix it. I've practised this theory for many years with great success and only have 1 bucket of bits left over
  14. It's probably just a build up of dirt in there. I had the same issue with the wifes SC driver side. Just take them off, strip them down and give them a good service/clean. Only other solution is to replace them really.
  15. Speak to Luke Gomer www.soarer.tv He's got the full monty schematics for the 430.
  16. The speakers can be easily sorted. I was thinking more along the lines of updated features. Post code sat nav/bluetooth etc. I have access to a CNC Laser, so filling in gaps or replacing trim parts to suit is also easy. Stainless, chromium, titanium? All available.
  17. Anyone interested in upgrading the system in an sc430? I'm putting together some ideas, and some feedback about the features you'd want from an upgrade would help to tailor a system for your requirements. please note; this page is for info only. I'm NOT trying to sell anything.
  18. Nice B) How does that roof spoiler effect the boot space?
  19. What's to discuss. If i do the project i intend to share the info for others if they want to do similar. The web site i hope to set up will contain all the info i discover/develop. Not just for this but the luxlink and other stuff too. If you delete it then your depriving others of info. What's next, book burning?
  20. Why? I just posted about a project i'm doing and it's been deleted :tsktsk: Come on, explain whoever it was.
  21. Good work there bud. Was wondering how to get that out myself. I'm fitting an ipod interface soon so that's useful info. Gary.
  22. Thanks suggestion -but disconnecting the main battery apparently sets of a hidden power source that sets the intruder alarm off (if you havent shutdown the alarm by using the remote keylock - which cant be done because the battery is flat - chicken and egg here). I'm going with AA to get started but need to get this apparent conundrum sorted - will let you(members) know outcome of my research in due course. Best Regards As long as the alarm is off when you take out the battery then it shouldn't be a problem. You should always charge it off the car anyway for safety sake and to highlight any probs with the battery, without any outside influences from the car itself. How old is the battery? Did you know that lead-acid batteries should not be left discharged for any length of time as it buggers them up. If it refuses to hold a charge then bin it and get a new one.
  23. I'm obviously not allowed to advertise on here but if you need any assistance let me know. Gary.
