  1. Open and close with the key :P
  2. Here it is. A bit grainy but i did it on my phone. Basically you can set the roof closing and leave the car with the keys. When it's shut fully the engine shuts off. Then you can remote open using the factory key.
  3. I can hear air/gurgling in the heater matrix behind the dash. Any special requirements for bleeding the system, or is it normal?
  4. Luxlink finally finished. All done and working! The problem was with the direct translation of the LHD/RHD wiring colours. I obtained schematics of the roof ecu to cross reference the wiring and sorted it. PM for more info, or contact jsx-94@blueyonder.co.uk
  5. Lightspeed = 16,666,616.4mph. My clock doesn't go that high
  6. :o You gotta be fekkin jokin man :o Shoulda gone to specsavers Shift lock means it locks the gear shift, geddit? press the button to unlock with the engine off and foot off the brake. B)
  7. Hi to everyone. I'm a member of the LSOC and the LOC. I believe some of you on here will have heard and indeed know AndTT from Glasgow. A long time member of the LSOC and a member on here also. Andy died at 3:45 on thurs in hospital from a brain annurism, and will be sadly missed by us all on the LSOC. He was a top bloke and my condolences to his wife michelle and his family. Gary
  8. :shutit: Not over sure that Lizzy would be too happy about that. I'd have to ask him. :winky: Are you a web designer
  9. Well done bud. I drove the SLK and the 55. The 55 was just vulgar (and expensive) the SLK i found to be a bit lacking in build quality and fit/finish. My mate 'mad 2mercs Al' swears by the brand but was almost swayed when he gave the SC a lookover at my wedding. I'm sure you'll be happy with your Merc though. But i think they still have some work to do to re-gain the crown they used to wear. Mainly the dealer service. Happy driving!
  10. Yeah, did tsavo east and west too! Kirsty's got the car now, she loves it! Cheers everyone :winky: The job thing isn't as dire as it sounds. I'm self employed and the job i was doing before the wedding, i finished. I lined up 5 months work today so no probs
  11. Hello everyone! :D Just back from Kenya yesterday eve from an amazing honeymoon after wedding my gorgeous better half Kirsty. All cheers to Steff who acted (very (ir)responsibly) as best man Gotta look for a job today but i'll hopefully be back on the new lexus sorting the remote roof opener (Luxlink) out this weekend sometime.
  12. I'm still waiting for the car back. Lexus have been totally crap tbh. First they sent the wrong parts, then they sent 2 left hand instead of L & R, now it's gonna be tuesday before they get the correct ones. They then need painting and i need the car back for wed! NOT HAPPY
  13. I only got the 2 normal keys. I'll have to contact the 1st owner and see if she can find it. It took me around 3hrs to fit the lux without the remote start, so a first shot of 4hrs would be about right, reducing over progressive installs. I also don't have the plastic strip with the unique code for producing a replacement key. I'll have to contact Lexus and see if they can source this from records. If i ever get the car back that is :tsktsk:
  14. Hi Chaz. The Luxlink can be fitted in around half a day or less. Mine came with the remote start option, which i decided not to fit as it involves 'losing' one of the keys inside the car. Anyone ordering with this option should be prepared to fork out for another spare key if you need 2 to hand. Otherwise i wouldn't bother. I'll price fitting as soon as i'm sure of the operation of my own. (still not got it back). He told me he ordered the parts last fri, but i walked in on him yesyerday just as he was ordering them from Toyota. W***er!.
  15. The Luxlink is fitted, but not working The colours of the connections to pick up are different to that of the LHD models (which is what the instructions specify). I've since obtained the schematics for the roof ECU and have found the problem. When i eventually get the car back from Autoglass (they've had it a week now :tsktsk: ) i'll correct the prob asap. The install is not for the novice, but wasn't a problem to myself. If anyone want's help or this doing for them, please let me know. :winky:
  16. Well not let slip exactly. Better judgement told me to give her the car for her birthday (today) before someone else let it slip, and because now she'll have the hang of it by the time the wedding's over. Then she can drive me home She was stunned by the way (who wouldn't be. amazing car)
  17. Took the car to Autoglass this morning. The car has had a replacement screen sometime in the past, and the twot who did it has glued the A post covers (outer) on. :iraqi-info-minister: This means they've had to destroy them to get them off. It now requires new covers which are on order from Lexus. They then need painting and re-fitting over the new screen. This means the car won't be ready until sometime next week I hate poeple who bodge stuff!
  18. Yeah, He has 3 of them. The building is actually Khan wheels' HQ here in sunny Bradford. (This is where 'Dodgy' Tony works) Thanks for all the comments guys B)
  19. Got some Khan RS-C 2 piece, 8.5"x19 fr and 9.5"x19 rr. Skinned in continental, sport-contact 3 rubber. Brand spanking, well below trade price. (these for summer use only) Cheers Dodgy T.
  20. Got my old mate 'Dodgy Tony' from the local wheel place trawling for me some rims. I'll get some better pics when i can get to the camera without my better half noticing.
  21. The wheels will get a re-furb and be kept as spares once her indoors learns how to park, then it's some 20"s mi thinks. It's an '02 car. Silky smooth and quiet. Near mint condition. FSH, new p.zero rosso's, new pads, 12 months RFL. The only issues are a hole in the driver carpet (stilletto i'm guessing) Full set of mats on order as there wasn't any. the driver wing mirror wouldn't retract but i sorted that in a breath, and the windscreen needs replacing due to a crack. (booked in for next Wed morning). £70 on insurance. Well chuffed with it. My fiancee is gonna love this as her wedding prezzi. (just gotta hide it for 3 more weeks lol)
  22. Sorry for the quality. I only had my phone to hand.
  23. Hi Chaz. Cheers. I'll be fitting the Luxlink myself. I'm a sparky and me and my mate have a small business making custom SS exhausts/manifolds etc. We also do turbos etc to order, mostly on soarers. (we both have a TT) The Lux is £200 ish quid delivered from their website. Gary
  24. I have to be careful, this is my wedding prezzi to my better half, so i can't let her see me putting anything on here. I've parked it at my office for now while i get the Luxlink fitted. The only issue with it is it needs a new screen (£70 on insurance ) and the driver wing mirror won't retract. I've got a couple of weeks to sort them out so no problem. I got it for a VERY good price however. and with a 12 month warranty form a major dealer (volvo). It's got FSH and they fitted new boot struts, new brake pads all round and 2 new tyres plus 12 months tax before i picked it up. Cushty! I'm off to get me and the best man kitted out today with suits so i'll take some pics when we get back.
