  1. Does anyone know what the difference is between the SE and the SE-L? Are they both full spec. and the L is longer? I have choice of the 2 but not sure on the overall differences Cheers. Gary
  2. Now fitted in the boot under the carpet. Easy but concealed access. Works a treat!! Next job is a parrot MKi9200 with DVD/ipod/bluetooth interface B)
  3. Forget it. Used photobucket :winky:
  4. Better than the horrid grubby grey colour. LED lighting too. Just need a black tonn' cover now :winky:
  5. Anyone know why i can't upload pics anymore? Why don't we use a host if it's a space issue, such as PostImage.org? I had some good pics on earlier posts but i deleted them, but it now tells me i've only got 750k of space? (pitiful)
  6. They're $149.95 (£94+delivery). Still a good idea though.
  7. Hi. Yes, everything should light up. The only ones that don't are the seat heater pics. The led comes on when you switch on, but the symbols themselves don't. I'll send you the cover pic. I'll also do a bit more investigation. we'll get to the bottom of it sooner or later. :)
  8. Ok Colin. I know you say you've checked the fuses, have you looked in all 5 boxes? All checks point to the 5A fuse in the driver footwell marked as 'Panel'. I verified this on my own car by removing it and it displays all the symptoms you describe. Gary. Hi Gary, Really appreciate you getting back to me. I will try looking again at all the fuses in the driver's footwell. By the way would you have the fuse row listing for the drivers side as the cover is not in place on this box in my car (it is for all the other boxes). In the meantime I will replace them all but I am wondering if the fuse is actually missing and this is causing the problem -so I will also try filling the gaps again and see if that works. Kind regards, Colin The site won't let me upload a pic of the lid, but it's the 4th one up from the right hand side as you look at it. If you send me your e.mail i'll send a pic of the cover.
  9. Ok Colin. I know you say you've checked the fuses, have you looked in all 5 boxes? All checks point to the 5A fuse in the driver footwell marked as 'Panel'. I verified this on my own car by removing it and it displays all the symptoms you describe. Gary.
  10. yep, I've got this problem. RE: the potentiometer ( what a name! ) how much does it cost and is that a dealer job? or can my local mechanic do it? Not something that i've looked at yet, so not sure about a repair. It's a dealer part, but easy to fit yourself if you want to avoid labour costs.
  11. Multiple failure usually points to a fuse blown. Plus, i think LED's are standard on these cars. Check fuses first. Only other thing could be a plug dislodged by someone poking around?
  12. Hi Colin. I've found it easier to turn the front wheels inward of the side you want (Turn it left to do the right etc) and pop the wheel arch liner out. (there's one bolt to remove which will be obvious when you try). Just prise it towards the car and you can just get your hand in to remove the bulb holder. To avoid this a lot replace it with a good qual LED. Failing this just remove the headlight. (still quite fiddley)
  13. Please wait a few seconds for Video to Load! Check out the rear mounted turbos. 104ft of piping, 613bhp! And the noise it make is just delightful!
  14. I have a 2002 SC430 and have had a Parrot MKi9200 fitted. I had an harness made up by a US supplier that plugs directly into the back of the stereo headunit. The parrot kit plays through the car speakers and it has hardwired connectors for ipod/iphone, USB and aux. I have connected an iphone via bluetooth and through the hard wire connector with excellent results. I have also used a PAlm Centro and B & O Serenata, via bluetooth, all with excellent results. I had to find a US supplier, as I just could not source a suitable harness in the UK. Happy to supply details to anyone who is interested. Zeroallan Those details would be useful bud. Cheers. Gary.
  15. Hope everyone has a very merry Xmas!!! :hohoho: From Kirsty and myself.
  16. They are on motors. It's probably the sensor on the back axle. It's easy to diagnose. Jack the car up and remove the sensor but leave it plugged in. Move the arm along it's travel and observe the headlight movement. if its irratic, use a multimeter to check the sensor output is linear and not broken. If it's a bad reading replace the sensor. gary
  17. Everything included bud. 'tis cheap indeed but not at the moment. Not had any consistent work for the last few months and xmas is here again!! A client is promising 400 refits over the next 2.5 years, but not starting until January '10. Should make a good killing on a share of those so the kit is definately in my sights lol It would be nice if the £ picked up too. 2yrs ago 1,000,000JPY was around £4K. Now it's about £6K.
  18. Hello and welcome. My roof leaks in the drivers top corner too, but only if i've had the roof down and it's started raining. i.e water seems to get trapped in the rubber seal because it's very slight and doesn't continue for long. My cover is a bit mouldy too. (it does clean up). This is most likely from putting the roof down when it's wet. The water runs off onto the cover and makes it mouldy if left. Gary
  19. What kit is that? like the wings :winky: I e.mailed these guys for a price. Hi… I’m sorry to late to answer your question. Lexus kit for SC is ¥234000 included fog lamps. And shipping cost is ¥73000 included wooden frame but you have to pay TAX in your country. If you have any question let me know! Thank you! Jobdesign JO ....was the reply. About £2.5k then ish. Not over bad me thinks....
  20. What kit is that? like the wings :winky:
  21. Not sure about air sus. Lots of tales of woe from the SC400 owners concerning baggy chassis.
  22. Hi everyone. Had the car a year now and not so much as a hiccup. Excellent motor!! I have taken it off the road today though. Probably for the winter and beyond. On the list of mods to do while it's tucked away are; Fit the minidisc player i got from ebay. Weapon R intake kit. May go for some designer front wings (Wald) Deeper side skirts to facilitate some side exit exhausts, just infront of the rear wheels. Lowering springs and possibly some bigger alloys. Currently on 19" Khan RSC2's. Black trim to the boot area and inner window trims (front). Hi gloss armour protection to the paintwork The other option is sell it and buy a Boom Trike lol Gary
