  1. Cheers mate. Ended up havin to get one sent up from a scrappy down south. Couldn't find one up here anywhere!!
  2. Hey, does any one in the edinburgh area have a front drivers side caliper carrier and bolts, or know where I can get one today or tomorrow? Thanks for any help guys!!
  3. Cheers Wozza, will check tomorrow, rainin outside The LEDS are not the headlamp eyebrows, just LED strips from Maplin. Cheers Keith, will get a wee box of fuses tomorrow on way home from work.
  4. Yeah all lights work, even the dome light, its only when the doors open it doesn't come on automatically. Will check the fuse tomorrow after work in the daylight. Cheers guys
  5. Hi guys My dome light, ignition ring and footwell LEDS don't come on anymore when the doors open, however the dome light still switches on when I move the switch to ON. Is it a fuse thats possibly gone, and if so, anyone know which one it is? There is too many in the Lex lol
  6. Hey mate, if you do find it, could I have it? Pretty please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  7. ah great thanks, got to get a bit of wire because the wire they came with aint ling enough but drivers side is done, only one problem, managed to blow a fuse, the one for the ignition barrel light, Hey mate, do you know where that fuse is? Coz mine blew last night too, and I miss my blue footwells when I get in the car lol
  8. I asked a garage and they said it won't do any damage, and if you don't mind the noise, you don't need to replace it
  9. check the ground lead.. the wire being too thin shouldnt make it cut out but the wire may get hot and melt/catch fire!! although this shouldnt happen with the correct fuses. oh, and a 1100w amp would need 0gauge so im guessing its not rms power which is prob the same as the new one.. No, don't think its rms power, just whats written on the top of the amp. I've checked the ground and it seems to be quite securely attatched to the bodywork. Also, the ground for the LEDs it attached to the same bit and never turns off. It seems to turn off too if I turn it up to loud, then it cuts off. Could it be the vibrations that are loosening the ground wire? Where is the best place to attach the ground? Thanks
  10. Hi guys, possibly a stupid question, but I'll ask just to make sure. I bought a 1100w amp with a wiring kit a few years ago, but recently upgraded the amp to 2400w. The amp only now works 25% of the time and turns on and off for long periods of time. Is it just because the old wire is too thin (think its a 8 or 6awg, not sure) and not enough power is going through? Should I get a 4 or 2 awg power wire? Thanks
  11. You can also phone up your bank and make a DSAR request. They will then provide you with a list of charges applied over the past 6 years (5 in scotland) and you tell them you want a refund including interest. Although the courts are still deciding on an outcome and what constitutes a ''fair'' charge, the bank will hold the request until a decision has been made and will refund you accordingly. I know its not ideal as you won't be getting the money back straight away, but will will be a nice wee bonus in a few months!! They might even decide to give you a full/part refund there and then. Worth a go!!
  12. Ahh did that work? I thought about that but wasn't sure if it wasn't wide enough, or if the LEDs would be visible (would like them to be completely hidden) Cheers, pics would be great :D They are completly hidden, can't see them unless your head is in the footwell lol. There is plenty space and also a lip to put the wires in to keep them out the way of your feet
  13. Yep was planning on putting in one for each strip.......wiring should be straight forward, on the positive just stick the fuse and the diode between the supply and the strip :) Where did you actually mount it? Did you stick it to where it has those plastic ridges? Do you have any pics? yeah pics of just were ya mounted them would be good, i gotta fix my soldering iron actually now that i think of it Yeah I put them on the ridge, where there is a slight lip pointing into the footwell. I'll try get some pics up later tonight
  14. Hey mate, the chirping noise you hear is from the clutch and (so I've been told) is the thrust release bearing (?). And the only way to get rid of this noise is to change the clutch. Can't help with the other problems, but I'm sure someone will be along shortly to help
  15. I did this just a couple of weeks ago. Very easy to do. I just used very stick double sided tape to hold the strips up, as the actual strips were not very sticky. But you can also use velcro (never thought of that ). Looks the dogs danglies at night though
  16. The ignition ring is just a T5 bulb mate, but the A/C unit is a wee bit harder. Some have use a LED strip, but I couldn't get mine to fit right, so I butchered the LED holder and a T5 LED and wired it in that way. Its not that bright though so will be changing it shortly
  17. What about using an LED strip and using that instead? Will that give off enough light and spread? If so, what do you solder the wires to? Is it just the connector on the board that the bulbs use? Thanks
  18. Thats what I was hoping. I had a look and it looked like the wires were twisted round the base, so I wasn't sure if it was just a case of untwisting them, cuttin the bottom part off the T5 LED and re-twisting the wires round the base. Anyone else changed their's?
  19. Hi guys, I've had the A/C unit out today coz I want to change the bulbs to blue to match the speedo, but don't know how to change the bulb. They don't seem to come out easy. Does any one know how to change them? And is it T5 bulbs i chanve them with? Thanks!!
  20. Hey mate, if you find any more, could I get one too please? Fed up of the accelerator getting stuck under the mat lol
  21. so is it just as easy as tapping into the positive wire for the light on the ignition, and grounding the negative (not like in a naughty child kind of way)? Thanks
  22. Hi guys I have just changed the courtesy light to a blue 9 LED fastoon (?) bulb and love the colour, and have also ordered some bulbs for the dash, thanks to all the help in this forum. I'm looking to get a couple of LED strips to put in the footwells and only want them to come on with the courtesy light. Has any one got a walk though on how to do this? I think it has something to do with the ignition light, so want to do this when I have the speedo out. Also, what is the easiest way to change the A/C lights? I can't solder and wondered if there is another way to change them? Cheers guys!!
  23. Now that is a good price :) Going to buy a distribution block or 2 tonight, so will have a look at that one too. Cheers mate
  24. Cheers Stav, much appreciated. There goes my weekend lol Oh no no no. Got rid of that a long time ago lol. Got a Kenwood fold out screen DVD player. Already got an amp and subs in the boot, but want to amp the aftermarket 6x9's too
  25. Ok cheers Stav So I wouldn't need the block for the remote, just connect it to one amp from the head unit, then from amp to amp?
