    Looking For...

is that just as good as an original part? :)
  2. I've got an Automatic Altezza RS200 Z Edition and I'm after this part: I've had to have a new water pump and i think it might be related to that? I'm not sure what it is and the garage are a little vague and i've got no part numbers. Does anyone know what it is and the part number?

    Exterior Bulbs

Perserverience was the key!! http://www.tezzaworld.com/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=5 :D
  4. I've tried searching and i know this information is around somewhere but I can't seem to find out what bulbs are required for the lights on the boot lid (not break/fog) and also the number plate? Can someone let me know if you know or link me to the info? It also used to be tezzaworld but it looks like they've changed the site around so the original link doesnt work any more :(

    Heater

I've found something that might be relevant... http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/ind...7&hl=heater
  6. Did anyone get to the bottom of this, i'm getting a similar problem to the OP? With regards Rob's suggestion what specific connections do I need to check on the heater control unit (I assume this is the center console?) :)

    Heater

I've got a couple of queries about the interior heating... How long should it take for hot air to come out of the vents? Also on mine there seems to be a significan't difference in temp between 18 and 19 e.g. cold then hot then more or less there won't be much change between 19 upwards. Is there something wrong? Also what would the optimal settings for demisting, I know that the A/C speeds up the demisting but personally i don't want to leave it on for 40mins to and from work. any advice on this would be greatly appreciated! :)
  8. mine was black with white lines on it...

    Geometry

also it looked like where this adjuster was sitting on this lip there was a gap... which also doesnt help apparently.

    Geometry

thanks, i'll pass that on! i dropped my motor off at my local garage (not the same one that has the alignment kit) and they are having a look at some parts as some of the bushes need replacing. however from what mr wim has said does anything actually need to be replaced?

    Geometry

So I went to my local tyre place where they do 4 wheel laser/computer alignment. got it all up on the ramp and start checking. Rear was well out! so they started trying to adjust it and it appears when adjusting the camber(i think) it wasnt actually changing anything. I have some pics but they are too blurry to make out but on the outside it has little markings at regular intervals. Regardless of the turning nothing changed. looking at where the nuts are and this plate thing is supposed to sit inside a curved 90degree lip but its actually sitting on top of this lip so when its being adjusted its putting pressure on this lip point. so it looks like this adjustment nuts or whatever and this lip area is a bit ****** and some bushes need to be replaced at the same time. Sorry if i'm not making much sense but if i saw it I'd recognize it but describing it isn't easy :( so does anyone have a clue what i'm talking about? :D
  12. i get about 29MPG on a good run although the last two fillups have been around 26-27 but that might because i have a heavy foot :(
  13. ahh ok thanks very much! :D If i run out on the way home does that make it your fault? :P :D
  14. hopefully a straight forward question. how many miles would you say its possible to do as soon as the orange fuel light comes on? hopefully it should be roughly the same answer even though i've got an altezza.
  15. I was having a fiddle behind the radio as I hadn't wired up the +12 Radio Amplifier cable! which incedently has fixed my poor radio reception problem! I think what i'll be able to do is buy a Toyota MR2 (or similar i think) ISO wiring harness which i'll be able to chop so I can splice it into the wiring loom! What i think i'll have to do is splice it together the hard way buy disconnecting each cable one by one and connecting to the correct pin on the wiring loom. I dont know if I have an amp but that's not in use anyway if its there! i might double check that tomorrow. I might take some piccies so I can show the mess of whats behind the radio :) thanks for all help so far :D

ok thanks for all your input guys! i'll double check the place i've used in the past can handle that stuff! it's been a couple of years since i've been so things might have changed! I had a quick look on WIM's forum and saw some how some Lexus Main dealers had managed to get hold of the settings!

Are the settings likely to be the same between an IS200 and Altezza?

    Tyre Choices

I dont have inner tyre wear I have outer tyre wear on the passenger side front are WIM likely to disclose the correct settings? when I had my last car done everything was adjusted when I had coilovers fitted. they adjusted the front and rear, toe, camber and castor was all checked and adjusted where possible. I watched them do it and it took about an hour. Whilst i've looked on the virtual tour at their equipment its much newer but i still see the same sort of stuff :) I'm not saying the guys i've used are better but what i'm saying is I dont want to drive 3hrs there and 3hrs back when there is a local company that is 15mins away from me perfectly capable of doing the job :)

    Tyre Choices

thanks :) Are these settings available? I'm sure these guys are great but I dont really want drive 3hrs there and back! i've got a local place that will do the alignment and they've done a full alignment laser/computer on my previous car perfectly fine :)

well the fact i've got new rubber on the back has made a massive difference regardless of the brand! the car feels more stable and less like the rear is chasing me round corners (not that i've ever been drifting) Although I need my tracking checked as i'm getting outside wear on the passenger front wheel, which conveniently is the corner of the car that got damaged when a driver cut in front of me at a junction! anyways that's another thread! but I had to have both fronts replaced as part of the repair so i would have thought the tracking would have been done!
  21. yes but I dont have the plug those wires are connected to the headunit wires/loom are connected straight to those ones iirc!
  22. i've just come across this too... and this pic from that thread does that apply to the altezza, i seem to recall those colour cables...
  23. small edit! looks like DJ Wozza has sent me what i need! :)
