IUts been a really long 4 month wait but its worth it. Its a IS200 Sport '03 Styling Kit 18" Wheels Platinum Silver For 8300. Can't wait, gonna be helll of a upgrade from my current 205 diesel, lol. 4. Hi guys, Im getting a IS200 sport with styling kit at the start of next month, and was a bit worried about the insurance (im only 21). So I rang my insurance company today (direct line), to see how much it would be to change the car for the remainder of the policy (7 months). At the moment Im paying 450 tptf to insure my N reg 205 Diesel, so was dreading the result. The nice woman said its an extra 207 quid one off payment to change to the Lex fully comp. So chuffed, roll on next month. Oh, and RE my thread a while ago about Direct line and the styling kit(direct line dont like mods for under 25s), she asked whether it was modified or not, and whether it had any optional extras. I said the styling kit was a factory fitted extra and she thats fine.YAY Gazza
  5. Hi guys, Im getting an IS in a month or so. Im buying of someone who works with my dad and atm its his company car. As with all the vans in company, his car has got a radiotelephone installed. He had its loose inside the car so that there were no holes in the dash, but he did have to have a n aerial fitted just above the windscreen in front of the sunroof. Anybody got any ideas on how to remove it and fill the hole without resorting to a respray of the whole roof. I was thinking of some kind of grommit or something painted the same colour as the car (silver) As, Im planning on putting a carputer in the car eventually, so maybe I coud use the hole for a GPS aerial. Its not a massive problem to be honest, but just a niggly little one. Cheers in advance. Gazza
  6. So should I declare the kit or not, or just say the reg number of the car, and leave it at that? Or should I say 'plus factory option styling kit'. Thanks for all the replies guys Gazza
  7. For a 21 yr old, with 4 yrs NCB, Directline have quoted 650. And my policy runs out in November, so Id only have to shell out to cover it for the next 6 months (im having the car late May early June). The car Im having had it fitted from new. Do you think they would class it as a mod, or just as a specification, because on Parkers website, they've got it listed as a seperate specification, but that might just be to take in account for the buying/selling price difference. Really hope this isnt gonna all go tits up,lol, really fallen for the car, and already done the deal, was just thinking about it last night and got worrried. Cheers Gazza
  8. Hi guys, Due to be buying a IS200 Sport with the styling kit, and was wondering a few things about the insurance. First of all how much would I be looking at to insure it. Im 21 (22 a month after I get the car), with just over 4 yrs NCB, 3 of which are those named drivers NCB with Direct line, so I have to stay with them really. Secondly, because im with direct line, Im a bit worried about the styling kit, because they wont insure modified cars for under 25s. So is the styling kit classed as a mod, or just as a factory option? Cheers guys and I hope you bring good news. Gazza
