  1. Have seen other posts having this sort of noise on their cars and finding the solution. - Had taken the car to a specialist the next day of purchase and couple of things found not right were sorted. It has a good service history all carried out by main dealers but few recent stamps are missing. No other major advice received and the car has barely been used since. - Did think it concerns with AC which isn't as cold as it should and the slight noise sounds like what you can hear sometime from fridge/air con system. Not aware of any effects on driving though. - Couldn't get the AC done on the day went to dealer as it needed another booking. Anyway it will be inspected soon by the dealer for peace of mind although no more noise coming till now.
  2. Went to LEXUS main dealer to re-programme the remote key and to order a new spring for fuelflap on my GS300 and was offered a FREE VISUAL INSPECTION whilst the car was in. Always received this inspection report whenever my other LEX was serviced so simply thought it only comes with servicing the car. Good to have some professional advice for things that owners are not aware. It only costs 21.15 to re-programme the key and 1.69 for the spring, but after the inspection found the coolant expansion tank was completely empty. There was a fluid flowing noise for few seconds coming from behind the dash when engine starts, the noise has gone after topping up the coolant tank although it can also be a coincidence.
  3. Same thing happened to my mk2 GS300SE. Visual inspection taken by main dealer and found expansion tank was empty. After topping up, the noise disappeared. IT COULD BE COINCIDENCE, but now there's no more sort of fluid flowing noise coming from behind the dash. Note: The AC on mine isn't as cold as it should and need to check it some other time.
  4. The original batt on my 53 plate RX has suffered coma once.... luckily, it returned to normal after 20mins recharging lack of use??? may be but did start and run the engine for 15-20mins once/twice a week and FLSH. One day....... It happend and AA came! :duh:
  5. :yack: Car replied: "GIVE ME WHAT I WANT AND I WILL RUN AGAIN!"
  6. IMO, NO! RX wheels have ET35, will need spacers???
  7. 8.5Jx8.5 fronts - regular flat surface 10Jx18 rears - deep dish (look great on GS) :winky: Note: Front 8.5Jx18 BTW, I've got some for sale.
  8. Front 8.5Jx18 (not 8) and rear 10Jx18 will fit sc straight on. Tyre application varies with car spec, usually front 245/40/18 rear 275/35/18. Hope this helps! B)
  9. Hi Merev, I'm still looking around, would pick 245/40 for fronts and 275/35 for rears or 245/40 all round same like yours. As far as I know, can put 275/35 tyres on rear rims without problem. Cheers! B)
  10. B)--> QUOTE(T7RY B @ Feb 22 2007, 12:09 PM) ← They should fit okay with no modifications. That's right as these are TTE OEM!
  11. May be the lense needs a proper cleaning and could do with CD lense cleaner (pack of CD and cleaning fluid). If not, newer OEM is the best to replace. New shape IS wheels will fit your car. Cheers! :winky:
  12. Yeah... Excellent rims for Supra or GS, Please click to see them on TTE official website, loads of great items. Cheers! TTE
