Fitted the oil breather filter and blocked off the one at the kit using a metal cap. Just one question, does it matter what air temperature the oil breather air intake is, as i've just got it taking air straight from above the manifold?

I used sparkystavs guide and got the apexi one. I was quite surprised the blitz one was so poor.

Also as a pointer to check your aircon is gassed look at the aircon pipe with the grey cap on by your passenger side headlamp.

Look into the little window while the aircon is running, if there is aircon gas in the system you will see bubbles in the window

Ah, so thats what it is..always wondered what it was for. I always wipe away the dirt from the glass thinking it's blocking something that is light sensitive lol

Good find, i agree with the thumping of the gearbox...must mean at first to second lol, coz i get that. He really nailed it on the head for that review of the lexus is200. I would have thought he would say something about the alloys being standard.

I flooded my engine once doing the same thing. All i did was drive the car a few meters so i can get the calipers to clean them without the 5 spokes in the way and next morning i couldn't get it started, but after some turning and white smoke it started lol.

tonyT, what Paradroid is refering to is when the car takes like 2-3 turns of the engine to crank it to start, not caused by flooding, reason unknown. Happens at any time, hot, cold, uphills, downhills. Theres no pattern to when it happens, it just happens. Don't think anyone will know the real solution to this one.

I use Goodyear Eagle F1 GSD3. I have no complaints about them and alot of people on here use them, not a bad price either.HERE. But depends on what you would regard as good tyres and how you drive. For normal everyday use these are good tyres. They have a mean looking tread, never in my whole life has some complete stranger come up and say "i like ur tyres" lol.

Shame u don't live near me as i have one which has been in the shed for the last 2 yrs and i don't even want it. It's one i used once to get my full suspension demo 9 bike from shop back to the house. Can't say for sure if it will fit an IS with a spoiler. You will be better off getting a roof rack tbh or one Ian M suggests to avoid any scratches to the car caused by the bikes while driving.

Just saw it, i'll give it 7/10. I was hoping for more scenes with imports etc and the GPS system was gfx overkill.

The alternative way is to spray some wd40 on it, then get a pin head type chessel and tap it round (anti-clickwise) until it comes out. The success of this depends how deep and the diameter of the bolt.

I've got white alloys, but i have a platinum coloured lexus. Just photoshop it over an image of your car to get a general idea. I'll post a few images for you to "play with".

Be nice to have images to go along with the instructions so we can see before hand, so know what to expect. Also need the torque settings for the bolts/wheelnuts etc. Im thinking about having a go at changing my rear ones, might take a load of images and let someone else do the words lol.

Like ladies_loves_lexus says, police are powerless to do anything about these "pikeys". They get a slap on the wrist and they do it again and get given another slap on the wrist and it goes on. The problem is their parents, who live the lifestyle of the dole with every intention to stay doing so. They find every way to skank the system for their benefit and anyone unfortunate to cross them also gets skanked. Spot them a mile away pushing their prams with 2 other kids holding on crying, smoking and swearing in front of them. WHY are they allow to have kids?!? That's their way of life, only way to end the cycle is to terminate their way of life, but as we all know that means politics. If we don't give them dole money a place to live they will go round robbing people and up the ante in doing so.

My sister who lives in a really nice newly built penthouse/flat with ensuit bathroom etc out looking a river and park etc has to put up with these pikeys because out of the 6 blocks of these flats (each with 7 stories), the council has to give one of these blocks to the unemployed people (pikeys). Shes only been living there for 6 months and already where these pikeys live, theres graffiti, empty cans, toys laying about on the grass areas etc and this is even when they have staff that clean every week! They just don't give a damn, even when they are given a nice place they still trash it. So what makes them think twice when they see your properties?

Eveyone who has jobs (or are out of job due to unforseen circumstance), has a house, properties or car to protect are in danger of running into these people wether they like it or not. Unless the goverment does something about it, it will never change and infact get worse.

Sorry if i go on a bit, but it gets my blood boiling, but at the same time understand why the goverment has to do what they do. I just wish they change the rules a bit and actually benefit us working class instead of giving all the advantages to them.
