Im looking to upgrade my back box on my IS200 sport and was wondering what is the best one to get,i know there is a post on here that has all about the different ones but was trying to get some info from all the other LOC members ,as to which one they have/recomend. I want one that is a little bit more throaty and sounds better than the OEM one but also isnt to intrusive on the motorway. Any help advise ( which one where to buy) or any thoughts would be welcome! :D

Hi mate Thanx for the comments So if i was gonna get a different back box whats the best one to get? as long as it doesnt intrude to much on the motorway.just gives it a better sound and is a bit more throaty. :D hi dazz, not sure about best pipe but if you dont want the noise just fit a longer tip. try a post for best/best sounding is200 pipe :) Hi mate i have had a look at a few posts on loc for best pipe,cant decide :duh: i want to get a new back box, an induction kit,suspension mods etc etc.

Hi Jamie Thanx for the comments,not to sure yet as to which mod to do first but have some more idea`s from the members at loc. You have a good looking motor mate and see you have done plenty of mods to it,i think if you should get the TRD skirts on your`s A.S.A.P would look ace on your motor mate.

Yeah the pic was taken the day i got the car ( end of april) so alloys was brand new they have been kerbed a few times but dont seem to have pitted like my "17" alloys on my old IS got the new one as i wrote my old IS 200 sport off.!! ( argument with a lamp post) and this look ace as its got the "18" alloys and the aero body kit.... got pics of both cars on my profile.

Hi stav,just got round to posting my pics on here. Yeah at mo only got 1000 or so to spend,or could just wait a bit longer and save for the supercharger,trouble is i keep looking at all the other cars and get the bug to do a few mods to mine...will def get the supercharger just a case of when not if... going to the TDI meet,will try and have a word with the guys down there.

Hi im a new.ish member..i thought i would post some pics of my car on here ,have been a memeber since may this year have finally got round to doing some pics of my car & was looking for peoples opinon`s on doing some worth while mods to my car.. have between £1,000-1,500 to spend Any suggestion`s would be helpfull.. :D

Hi i have a problem on my is200 sport,i get a groning noise and a kinda crunching noise when i go over a speed hump or pitching and loading the front suspension on either side..been to lexus hatfield and they had an engineer take it for a test drive and said he also could hear the noise but could not find where it was coming from. Doesnt affect the handling when driving,Been to tony @ wim for geometry and there are no play or anything wrong with bushes etc.....been bugging me for a while now!!! Does anyone know what it mat be??? Any help would be appreciated! :)

Not a bad idea :D I'll try that and report back :) i'll have a look at the wires as well :) i have an is200 with parking sensors fitted by lexus and i have 4 sensors not 2, they are spread across the bumper.. try seeing if there is a little switch inside the the boot on the left hand side that is so you can turn the sensors on & off... :)

ok thanx for that i will give it a try...i guess wd-40 would be ok for the job?? I personally wouldn't try WD 40. It's prone to causing parts to rust (strange but true). Use Silicon lubricant - Halford etc sell it. You can use it on most rubber parts to lubricate dry joints, it'll cure squeaking belts and it'll blacken black plastic trim parts too - it's good stuff - try washing the engine bay and when dry give it all a good spray with Silicone - not sure how to spell silicon(e) - it'll look like new(ish). ok thanx for that i will get some from halfords and give it a go.. :)

yeah i know about the brake problem seen a few posts on loc...the noise is at the front of the car when i go over a speed hump (full size or the small one`s) doesnt matter what speed i go over them,also when i pitch into a corner and load the front of the suspension i get a kinda crunching and groning noise..had a look at the suspension and cant see any leaking fluid or any damage... went to tony @ wim and had my geometry done and there are no loose parts or anything..so? just wonderd what the noise was doesnt affect the handling....was maybe thinking a ball joint? thanx for ya help. :)

HI I WOULD BE INTERESTED IN GOING TO THE TDI MEET, IM QUITE A NEWBIE ON THE LOC SIGHT COMPARED TO SOME OF YOU.. HAVE BEEN A GOLD MEMBER FOR APPROX 8 MONTHS I THINK!? :duh: I HAVE AN IS200 SPORT ( PLATINUM ICE) WITH THE OPTIONAL "18" ALLOYS AND THE AERO KIT WILL TRY AND POST SOME PICS TO THE SITE WHEN I CAN.
