Hi hope someone has some idea what my problem maybe..have is200 sport 35,000 miles....on the odd occasion (not all the time) my car turns over but doesnt fire up..this happens either when its hot or cold ..you turn the engine over nothing happens turn it over again and it starts up but very slowly...my battery is fine and its ok on the volt meter in the car dash and on testing with a volt meter....any help on what the problem maybe would be a big help its going to lexus dealer monday but just wanted some opinions from the LOC members before then .. :)

yeah your right its an altezza..would be a bit unsure with the bhp estimate??

Totaly agree with you rsarin...i hope it gets the credit it deserves..all jap cars seem to be advanced in technology these days...just read about the new nissan (skyline) GTR35 looks the nuts and has some mad technology on it..Lexus made the 1st ever 8 speed gear box ... nuff said...cant wait to see the new IS-F in the flesh..and i hope lexus do a come and see it first to all lexus owners?

Im with directline and have just had my car repaired by lexus all was sorted and repairs was done like it had never been in an accident ( new bonnet,new front bumper,front landing panel, all resprayed,)

i have my "18" running at 33 psi and have even tyre wear and handles good ... hope that helps ya mate..

Yep there are plenty of posts on here about that problem..its coz the pads move in the calliper just as you come to a halt or a slight turn of the wheel ( you get a knock/clonk noise )..as you all say copper grease seems to be the answer to the noise..???

Ive got the mag as well (monthly subscription) and it looks the dogs nuts in the blue colour, in the mag i think they just tested it at the track in japan and will review it in the next issue on the uk roads i think. Yes I think your right they will give it a full road test soon. They actually were giving it a first test in Spain a new circuit in Seville. I've read a few first tests and they are all very impressed with IS-F, As I thought to begin with there will be areas where the M3 and RS 4 are better and there will be ares where the IS-F will be better so it's looking good, but what has surprissed me the most is all of these first impressions state the IS-F is more fun to drive abit more of a drivers car, who would have thought that. I really can't wait to see one on the road, I bet it will look and sound absoloutly awesome!! Oh and that#s another point all of the first impressions have said it sounds amazing more so than the M3 but also the RS 4 and the brakes are out of this world!! Yeah they say its better than the M3 & theRS4 in a few areas...i just hope that if it is good on normal roads that they see it as the car it is i.e better or as good as the other 2...but some mags are badge snobs and coz its a lexus and dont have RS4 or the M badge and dont have a racing back ground they would not rate it as good.??? only time will tell... fingers crossed for the six numbers to come up on saturday nite!!!! :D

could well be a stuck disc mate...try and do what was said by the other member and remove the fuse and then put it back in..

I might be interested what kinda jobs are there? or what are they?

hi when you press load the light on the front will turn green for you to insert the disc ( you have to wait for it to turn green and display LOAD ) you then put the cd in and the player should take the cd in, if there is a disk in the first slot of the multichanger it would find the next available slot out of the six and display this on the front of the unit unless all six are full up?

It should say in your service manual that you got with the car.. it will have an .i. for inspect or an .r. for replace.under cars with a slip diff..normally an .r. for oil.... think its every 20,000 main service the diff oil gets changed.. but could be wrong im sure someone will tell you on LOC. if in doubt ring up a lexus dealership

I have an is200 sport and have never had any problems with the tale kicking out... the reviews i have read....it looks to me like the bloke was driving like an absolute w****r to get the tail out. one review said he was doing 60 mph on snow when the tail suddenly "kicked" out...dduurrhhh..its going to if you are driving on the snow doing 60mph in a rear wheel drive car...

Spoke to tony@WIM the other day asking him to fit it,sent an email to the company and they said that you can either use the ones that you have fitted already,get some news ones,or they said to use exhaust gasket sealent as it doesnt matter what you use... will let you know when i have it fitted see if i can use my old one`s..(gaskets) ???????????. Iv rememberd now DOH didnt use any just sealent Has it come yet When i asked blue flame they said that they recomened using exhaust gasket silicone sealent...Hasnt come yet .......hopefully tomorrow :)

faulty sensor? or could be a dirty sensor? needing a clean up?

Yep i got one.! got it from blue flame company the one i put up on here (post) just waiting to get it then will take it to tony @ WIM to fit for me ....cant wait...im impatient.. :D
