Lexus just called £324.45 for the 40k service and mot. Not as bad as i thought.

I have booked mine in for it's 40k service and was told it would be 280 + vat that's at Aberdeen. Also need's a MOT. Asked if I could get a certicy car but Lexus Aberdeen told me that I would have to call my insurance. So I called ' Bell Direct ' gave them all the information on the curticy car ie reg etc.. Told me it would cost 31.50 pounds to get it on my policy. Then came back and said now they would not do it beacuse the car was not mine. Then went on to say that lexus should cover me. Called Lexus and they said no. That I would not be covered beacuse my policy would only cover me 3rd. Called bell direct back and they said No I could get it even if I paid the 31.5 ' were a little bitchy by this time' Called back Lexus and said ' No insurance cover no curticy car ' They were even more ruder that Bell Direct. So my IS 200 is booked in and I can't get or have a car from them. Well Upset :tsktsk: Has any one ever that this problem before. Cheers Brian

Mine's booked in next week for its 40k. It's just about 4 yrs old but only done 28k. Lexus Aberdeen quoted me 280 + Vat, also need mot. So hopefully nothing major is required.

I have just bought one, :D once I have it fitting and working I'll give you all a shout and tell you how I get one with it.

Chr!st, is there a hole in it lexicon I was thinking that. I had a Impreza WRX import and I got about 250 miles out of a tank and it only took about 30 pounds. But I sold it for desposit on a house. :D Now I'm only driving about 20 miles a day. So I don't know if it's has something to do with it being short journeys. But I'll wait and see.

I'm new to this lexus lark. Bought a 2nd had Lexus Is 200 just over 2 weeks ago :D . T plate with 25,000 on the clock. mint condition got it for a bargin, but I din't get it from a lexus dealer!! Anyway filled up the tank with Optimax, as recommened cost jus under 50 quid , don't do a lot of miles. Anyway got about 200 miles out of the tank. So the average is working out to around about 14.8 I'm a little heavy footed at times and havn't got used to the mpg gauge thing yet. But I will keep you posted. Brian

I had a Subaru Impreza WRX import. As the wife was getting tick off with me always spending money modifying it So we went to look at and test drove a MG ZS, Golf TDI, Audi A4 and a New Impreza WRX. I count make my mind up. Went past the local garage last week and he had a IS 200 pulled in for a look. Took it for a test drive. Always liked them, loved the dials, it was spotless low mileage. The garage gave me a good deal on my WRX and bought it. I have had it 2 days and love it :D , my only complaint is its crap in the snow :( . So I'm off to buy some snow tyres and see how I get on.
