To be honest it is so bad i will not be driving car above 30 again until it is sorted, just checked the wheels and there is a lot of play in the wheel, (up + down) and (left + right)

Hi there, Well the car rolling under acceleration happens when I give it some power, if I roll away slowly you cant feel it. The major issue is the car's behaviour at 60+ it is so bad I had to slow to 30 to get the car moving in a straight line again. Tyres are brand new, they fine for the first few days and it was in the middle of the return trip that this started happening.

Hi All, I was on the motorway the other day, doing about...70 and all of a sudden the car started pulling in all directions, my first thoughts where a blow out so I jumped on the stopping things and came to a halt on the hard shoulder for a quick inspection. No flat tyre (3 days old) and no loose nuts. I thought it must have been a massive gust of wind or something but about 5 minutes later it started again. I then noticed when I accelerate it pulls to the left and when I lift off the car dips to the right. Also if I hit the left lane on the motorway the car jumps violently into the groove and sets off a mini fish tail, FINAL NOTE: If I am driving in a straight line and i turn slightly in any direction the car will carry on going in the straight and then suddenly "catch" and turn, but by this time I am turning harder... The callipers are OK, I stripped them today but I am seriously worried. Does anyone have any ideas where i can start looking?

I did try them on the headlight at first but found they stuck out on the edge, I wanted them receded so I stuck them to the bonnet, only problem was they looked very messy. If it was for my old vectra I would have left it, but since I'm in this for the long haul I thought I would spend 30mins on building them in, I haven't painted them yet though. I must admit, they are not for everyone but they light this car up beautifully. P.S. thank you very much for the fuse tip, I will sort that tomo after work.

Ooooo how did that work out? i stuck a couple of resisters on them to make sure they didnt blow but didnt even think about them going up in smoke... Cheers for the advisory Tigerfish

Hey All, I have just finished with my Day time running lights, They come on automatically when I turn the key, any thoughts? On with the lid up A close up Just stuck in place Building them into the lid With the lid down And hidden when off I will get a pic uploaded later when it gets dark

Lob them in the oven and keep the wife's hair drier close by to save re-heating

Yeah I did them myself, I did a couple to see what they looked like, however I never had locking nuts so someone tried to steal them. im just wondering if having them this way is going to cause to much attention

Stick them in the oven on 220 for 8 mins and pull apart... easy as that!!!

I must admin they do look pretty cool, however my headlights are so oxidised it's unreal, they look so dirty the orange makes no difference. Next weekend im going to 'try' to resurface them and possible take the orange out....

Thoughts??? I cleans the wheels when i fist got them but never protected the metal...

they look cool, quite smart with the indicator left out but since my bulbs where white i put them back in after spraying. Love the look though soooo much better than normal

Hey all, so a few days after shocking my lexi back to life i have fallen in love again and im back to the mods. So the object of today's session was to relocate the horns since i fitted the sports grill, however since i had the FB off i thought i may as well mod the headlights. To be honest it was a relevantly simple thing to do... any thoughts??????????????????

To be honest the thing was driving me to tears, i was rapidly falling out of love with this machine. to summarize in case anyone has the same issue: I removed all the bypass cables the Auto electrician fudged up, result - nothing. HL Relay worked fine, with no blown fuses. Spliced up the connectors and repaired the blown up O/S fusebox, result - on first flick of the switch the sidelights came on... and then went off. no headlights but high beam worked. Found and replaced the blown theft deterrent box, result - nothing. by chance replaced the stalk - still no idea why i did it, result - A FULLY FUNCTIONING CAR with one happy owner. This was after i removed the dash and checked every single wire attached to the bloody system. now i can spend some time building this car up.... B) B) B) B) B) B) B)

Lady's and Gentlemen, i would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their reply's and to confirm that this mess has been fully fixed and is now working perfectly. After replacing the theft det box i was still getting the same issue, however since i was still outside the scrap yard i decided to change the indicator stalk... random i know but that is what the problem was. ALLLLLLLL FIIXXXXEEEDDD. YAY

I know this thread may be getting old and seeing as this is a common fault im just going to go to town on my beloved car. Tomorrow i am going to rid the thing apart, starting with the dash and tracing every single bloody cable with a multimeter. I would love to get medievil on their *ss but to be honest it wouldn't be worth the effort. I have replaced every individual cable within the fusebox (for those who have seen inside) and sealed them in completely with my trusty glue gun. I'm going to trace every cable over the next week and i will document them every step of the way so we can finally have a comprehensive fix. i cant believe im doing so much for a car that is TEN years old! but i love it so much.

yeah they where my first call but with no luck. i'll have to give Lexus a ring. Unfortunately there is only 2 near me and both are tiny.

Has anyone seen the film: Nightmare on Lexus ST... I thought i would inspect the passenger side fuse box... along with enough water to go swimming in i found this!!! Can you see anything wrong with this?
