  1. And another thing - hands up who wants, most desperately, to drive a Mini Cooper before they die....I'm sorry, there are many many cars I want to drive before I kick it, and the Cooper certainly ain't one of them... Just incase anyone was interested...
  2. Just read the comments in AutoExpress and as I'm considering an IS as my new car I was wondering if anyone here has found the back cramped (I know I'm going to get loads of "rude" comments coming back...).... As this is one reason why I'm looking at buying a new car due to the lack of space in my current car - ok, its a 2 seater sports car, but you know what I mean... :duh:
  3. Oh my ***, that website is enough to make a grown man cry!!
  4. Here is the link to their web address: http://www.nationaldrivingcentre.co.uk/p3_skidpan.html
  5. Well basically he just points out what we already know. That you have nothing to loose by giving up and everything to gain. Its just the way that he does it that makes you see the sense and understand what he is trying to say. The book does waffle on a bit, but its well worth sticking with - trust me!
  6. Ok, serious note: I used the Allan Carrs "EASYWAY TO QUIT SMOKING" and it works. I gave up over 2 months ago now, and haven't missed smoking one little bit. Can't recommend that book enough! :D
  7. Yep I have done the exact same course at the exact same location. Well worth doing as it does help point out what you should be thinking about etc. Was a little gutted they wouldn't let me take my own car on just to see how it reacted under skid conditions blah blah..
  8. And can it be found at all good news agents? Cool - do you have to be a gold member (no not Austin Powers B) ) to get the new mag you're bringing out?
  9. Is there a magazine that it dedicated to Lexus cars etc? If so, what is it called? Cheers B)
  10. Wey hey, and then Bloo slips in with a couple of his own!!!
  11. Thanks for all the advice guys & gals. I might just have to take a trip to Oxford on Saturday and take one out for a test drive, providing they won't mind me being gone a while as I'm bound to get lost!! I have my heart set on a Lexus IS200 Sport, I think for the price you pay they have to be one of the best in their class. Now I just need to get the wife to agree.... Watch this space!
  12. Now, that leads me onto another question....dealers... I have been reading through the dealer guide and it still hasn't really helped me decide which one I should give my money too! I live in London, but to be honest, don't want to buy a car from a London dealer, although i am looking at getting a new one (or very nearly new) so perhaps it wouldn't make too much difference, but I used to live in Herts, so I might try Hatfield..... Any thoughts anyone? Hmmmmm!
  13. I don't yet own an IS200, but have wanted one for quite a while now, just finding it hard to part with my MGF BUT, my wife wants an Audi A4, which although a very nice car, I feel isn't quite in the same league as an IS. So, I'm hoping you guys can give me a few pointers that I can give to "the wife" to help her want the same as me.... ;) Cheers
