  1. You're right Parthiban. CD and radio works fine once I removed the adapter but with the adapter the volume remained at ine level. It didn't matter whether I had increased or decreased the volume control. The sound was reasonable but not enough if I was to drive on the motorway. One minute, I lost the sound competely. I'm going to return it and take a chance on the grom. I don't know if I'm tempting fate.
  2. Hi, Can somebody recommend a wheel refurbisher in london or west london in particular. My front allows have kerebed and paint flaking off. How much is it per wheel normally?
  3. Completely or just the aux input? The other end of the adapter han a cable which was designed for the toyota/lexus with the plug that I plugged into the CD changer porter. I assume this is the aux input and thats it. There was a smaller auxillary cable which I haven't used. I bought the usb version of the adapter.
  4. xcar link is connected. one minute sound was low even when maxed the volume control and now i've lost sound
  5. Thanks for the response. Looking forward to receving it tomorrow. Only concern is fitting it. Not much of DIY type person and concerned about damaging the centre conside or cd unit.

  7. I've ordered the xcar link usb adapter today as the seller is near me. So, if there are problems, it's not an issue. He did mention that I do not need a y cable as the cd the player is factor fitted. Is this correct. Has anybody used the xcar link adapter and happy with it. The other good thing is that i can continue to use the cd player and it also has a sdhc and sd card slot.
  8. Thanks guys. I'll look both up. Navstar.
  9. Hi Kam05, Thanks for the response. By top loading CD unit, I assume you mean that the CD unit is above the cassette player. It's exactly in the same postion as in Hando's guide/pictures. Navstar.
  10. Hi, I'm not if this is covered but I'm seriously considering the USB version of the above, but not sure which one to go for. Secondly, recommendation required where to get it fitted or if there's anybody out there who could fit it, please PM me. I'm in West London. Navstar.
  11. Hi, Can somebody recommend a reputable valeter in West London area who they've used. The car is a real tip after being neglected for a couple of years and 60k sevice. I want to bring it to pristine condtion. I used lellers before but they've moved further a field. Navstar.
  12. Hi Ormi, Very good prices. Who is quoting these prices as I'm part hunting for my 60k service. I'm based in North West London.
  13. Thanx Trudi.... :D Hi, I've been quoted close to £1400 (Lexus, Edgeware) for a 60k service inc. cambelt, tensioner and water pump change change but no mention of the idler. What are as these items, as these have been mentioned in my quotation 1. Element, Air Ref 2. Environmental Charge 3. Element, Air Ref 4. Gskt, Drain Plug 5. Brake Cleaner 6. Engine Flush 7. Petrol Additive Do I need Brake and Diff Oil cange? I am not prepared to pay this. Can somebody recommend a reputable company in North West London who will charge a reasonable amount for this typr of service.
  14. I've just had Events fitter for £230 for four inc valves and balancing. Very good service from Harrow Tyres.
  15. Hi, My Lexus IS 200 SE X Reg is due for the 60000 miles service. It's covered just under 55000miles. Today, Lexus Edgeware quoted £1,100 including parts and labour which I think is extremely steep. 1. Can somebody tell me in details what is entailed in this service. 2. Recommend elsewhere. Perhaps a Lexus specialist or another dealer in West London area. 3. Has anybody used Lexus Woodford for servicing or obtained a quote from them. Thanks.
  16. My old battery was a Unipart 65Ah which was in there when I bought the car in Aug '07. I also went to Halfords but were under powered. I picked mine up eventually from Lexus Woodford last week for £60.50. It's got Toyotoa's brand which they said is fine for the Lexus it but got the 65Ah that I wanted.
  17. Thanks for the valuable tips guys. Appreciate it. Do I need to be a LOC for a period of time to take advantage of the gold member discount.
  18. I've noticed first thing in the morning of the last two days, the car is struggling to start. I have to considerablly put the foot on the gas to start it up. Whilst, doing this, I hear a clicking sound. To be honest, I drive to the local station which is a 5mins drive which is the only mileage I do during the week which could be part of the cause as the car barely charges up. I assume, it could be the sudden drop in temperature which doesn't help. When I drive back home in the evening, the car starts up immediately. Would you recommend de-ionised water. It this is not needed, what type of battery or make would be recommended for a is200 se, x reg and from where. I live in W. London. navstar.
  19. Just had Lexus fit my iPod adaptor (it was Lexus approved) on my RX400h. £251 fitted though. Do you have a part number. Which lexus dealership fitted it for you.
  20. I've just been on their site. Can't find it.
  21. Over the past month I've been dithering whether to replace the factory fitted CD player with an after market unit in my IS200 SE. After consideration, I've decided to not go ahead with it. Having said this, I'd still want to be able to use the ipod in the car. Does anybody have any suggestions on these ipod adapters and reliable fitters in the London area. Navstar
  22. Hi, I'm just about to purachase a head unit, but the guy selling me the unit mentioned something about an ISO cable that I will need as the Lexus IS 200 does not have a standard connection or something. He also mentioned that that this cable will need to be passed from an amp box behind the glove box to the speakers. Apologise, if this comes across very vague but I'm not clued up on fitting. Will the carpet need to pulled out for this. Can somebody recommend a fitter in the london area (idealy west london) as I don't want mess things up. navstar
  23. DJ Wozza, The finishing on the facia matches the surrounding areas. Would you happen to know what make/colour paint was used. I noticed that the original has a shine to it.
