  1. Yes I looked again and the "one" for £19.99 doesn't ship to Sweden, just to pay up then :) I have this lovely little thing on its way to me :D Thanks Stav!
  2. A search on ebay for "is200 bypass" gives me this hits. The price, pictures and sellers vary. The cheapest ones are priced ok but £35 for the most expensive + £13 for shipping to sweden is a bit much i think. My question is are they all the same? The one from safe n sound(£19.99) looks exactly the same as the one from sound4wheels (£34.95). Please help me don't want to spend more then I have to. My search on Ebay
  3. I know and I don't expect any power gains. I like the car quiet the way it is but it does sound rather nice towards the redline doesn't it :) What I am trying to find out is if the engine will sound even nicer without the pre cats or if it will get to loud for my liking.
  4. 20BHP sound great. I will also add this to give it atleast 30BHP moore :P I don't want it to be that much louder, is it such a big differens even on a standard exhaust? I like it quiet as it is standard but I would like a big roar when flooring it :D. That is perhaps hard to achieve? What should I do, forget about decatting and look for a aftermarket cat back system?
  5. I'm thinking of removing the precat on the exhaust manifold. I have found a used one for £140, I think it will be possible to get it for ~£80. I quess that you need to change some gaskets and perhaps some other small stuff but still a pretty cheap mod I think. What I would like to know is: What gains would this give me (I don't expect much if any....) Could I even loose power? Does it effect noise level? I would like more engine note at full throttle but I still enjoy a quiet ride. Is it a hard swap considering rust... Is it worth it? Hell yeah or hell no :D Thanks!
  6. Hello Lexus lovers :) My lovely lex has a rattle in the front suspension. I've cleared two MOTs here in sweden and they can't find the problem (any problems by the way :D ). No one seemes to know what it could be. I took a test drive without the ARB with no luck, lexus says that it could be the shock absorber. But when I read Post 12 I realized since my rattle could be on the left side that it could perhaps be something related with the stering or steringcolum. Since I live in Sweden my steeringwheel sits on the left, yours on the right.....that got me thinking..... What do you guys think?
  7. I think it gives the engine a little more power BUT. I had a little hole in mine, manufacturer error/**** up :tsktsk: some "silicone" was missing and therefor left a little hole. The filter was shipped to K&N but they will not give me any compensation for the extra engine wear, had it for almost a year. Apparently the warrenty doesn't cover the extra engine wear however I will receive compentation for the filter. CHECK YOUR FILTERS!
  8. Ok, I guessed right then. It shouldn't be a problem then, I mostly enjoy my car all by my self Thanks for the reply and take it easy over those humps!!
  9. Not sure what you mean with undertray? Do you mean the underside of the car? I hope that you only have that problem over speed bumps :D Is your car lowered more then what you get with Eibach??
  10. I got my new tires and rims today they are so nice :D The little problem I have is the rear mostly. Since my car is lowered(Eibach springs) I don't know if the wheel will hit the rear wheel arch(Correct term??) when my backseat is full or going over speed bumps. The tires stick out just abit too much or maybe it's fine? I did do a test run before I handed over the money of course and it seemes ok. I can return them if it doesn't work out. Is there anyone here with my setup? Any problems??
  11. Yes it could be, I've taken a quick look at it but didn't find anything, it's hard without the proper tools. I will probably change them, can't be that expensive and hopefully it will do the trick.
  12. I've spoken to Lexus now in Stockholm and they say that some oil leeking is ok as long as it isn't to much and cause the shock to loose its funktion. They also said that the shock shouldn't be damaged by the shorter eibach springs. The guy didn't think that my knocking problem had anything to do with the shock, from what I told him anyway, so I quess time will tell if something is wrong. I would like to sort the knocking problem though. Anyone thoughts on this??
  13. But won't the OEM ones breakdown again due the wrong operating range?? I will not change the springs and get a SUV :)
  14. Hello! I've recently suffered from knocking from the front suspension. This weekend I had a look at it and found a leeking shock, that's most likely where the sound comes from, right?? My car is lowered with eibach(tte or trd) the standard ones from lexus. Since the car is lower then standard the shocks have a different operating range and I quess they don't like that to much :) So what shocks should I get that can cope the eibach springs. I'm not after a stiff...stiffer ride :) I'm happy the way it is or if it's possible to get more comfort with the same handeling thats fine by me. Help please!! /Martin
  15. I need new tires for this summer and the lokal tire dealer here in sweden rekommended Hankook V12 Evo. I'm looking for a good and quiet tire, don't like road noise that much. Does anyone here have any experience with this tire? Any other rekommendations? /Martin
  16. First I thought they looked great and they do but if it fits that bad on the car it's rubbish. Where can i get this "sport grill"?? Remember that I live in sweden. I've asked the toyota dealer but they can't get me anything. The "guy behind the counter" could get me a TRD, through some friends or something but he wanted something like 300 pounds, a bit much I think. / Martin
  17. Hello LexusIT! I'm thinking of buying a carbon grille too and did a search and found your post. The one I am thinking of looks very similar to yours. Here it is http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Lexus-IS-30...sspagenameZWDVW I think I will modify the orginal instead, or is this one a good buy? Thanks, Martin
  18. Sorry for borrowing your thread, but I have always wondered if this phenomenon disappears if you change clutch and flywheel to an aftermarket one. My love also has it :D
  19. Hello all! I want to find a new grill for my car. I have searched and read but can't find what I want to know. I would like to get something like the trd carbon fiber grill, but thats a fake isn't it? I prefer one that's made of solid carbon fibre, atleast the frame. The carbon would match my car's colour very nice and I wouldn't have to paint it to match. What's out there? I live in sweden therefore I need to find a company that can ship it. I hope my english aren't that bad :D
