  1. That's something I'd not considered. She is a bit of a trollop I will admit.
  2. I gave it a cursory glance earlier and everything looks pressed in correctly. I shall have a more thorough look in the morning.
  3. Good advice - thanks both of you. I'll let you know how I get on.
  4. I only had it replaced the other week - yesterday was my first sustained high speed trip. It was windy but I took Tiff out today and the whistle is still there.
  5. Is there anything I can do or is it a return trip to Autoglass? I think this whistle has the potential to drive me nuts!
  6. Tiff has a whistle appearing to come from the top right hand side of the windscreen at 70mph. As Tony the Tiger would say g-r-r-r-reat.....
  7. That's a bugger for those of us with private plates....
  8. +1. I have had to divert the conversation in the office when my scheissewagen owning colleagues have started discussing the heated washer jets on their misguided purchases.
  9. Sometime in the near future, this scene will be re-enacted in an underground car park with one of the last surviving F cars...
  10. These guys have definitely upped the ante... EDIT: That clearly didn't work.. Go to X and look for the World Bollard Association:
  11. What devilry are the developers of this app foisting upon us? Last night I was out late and thought I'd use the app to turn the climate on so Tiff was nice and toasty (and defrosted) when I got in. I searched everywhere on the app for the section where you turn the climate on remotely. Nothing. No sign at all of it. I went back to have a look at it just now and there it is, exactly where I expected it to be. I wasn't drunk.
  12. Is that because the top quarter of the ring has failed on each light?
  13. All done! I should have had more faith in Autoglass - not sure whether it's a Lexus screen yet thought. It's raining and cold so that check can wait.
  14. I've just had a text from Autoglass saying "see you tomorrow!". I'm still expecting a call to say don't bother, but perhaps - just perhaps - when Betsy had her unfortunate incident with that stone on the A16 they thought they'd better get a spare ES screen in, just in case? EDIT - I will of course make sure that they have actually got the right screen before they take Tiff's current screen out!
  15. Makes sense to me! Now I need the reason why all stones hit my cars right on the edge...
  16. It's odd - I've clearly been lucky with windscreens (up to a point!). I managed to get through 4 years in a Vauxhall Nova, 2 years in a Rover 600, 3 years in IS200 #1, 5 years in IS200 #2 and 11 years of the 12 I had my IS250 without having anything more than a chip. Then the cracks started! Both stone hits on the ES's resulted in instant cracks. I don't know it's because both hit right at the very top of the screen perhaps? The crack on my IS250 started after a stone hit the very left hand side of the screen. Are edges more susceptible to producing cracks than a smack in the middle?
  17. My appointment for a replacement on Thursday has been confirmed. I would urge everyone to go down to Ladbrookes and stick a fiver on it being cancelled as there's not a chance in 1,000,000,that they'll have a screen by then. Tiff will probably have been stolen by the time a screen arrives over here.

  19. Driving home on the A1 last night - bang. "Ah,..." I thought, "I bet I know what that is". Yep: Why me? Why...?
  20. I hadn't thought of that....
  21. I went out earlier to put some stuff in Tiff's boot and fetch a petrol receipt for exies from the front. I locked her doors and nonchalantly waltzed back indoors. A few minutes later I got an alert from Lexus Link+ to say that Tiff's boot was open. Had I really been that careless? Surely not. I raced downstairs from my office and out of the front door and yes, I had indeed left her pert bottom open to the entire world. Instead of having to make a dash to close it, wouldn't an alert like "your car's boot is open. Would you like it closed?" be nice? Maybe this is already there and I've missed it but somehow I think that's asking a bit much....
