hey Fidgits or zee or anyone with the peco bb4, can any of you lot tell me if the peco's box is small enough to fit on the other side? (of the car) the standard back box is too big to fit the gap as i have measured, wanted to do a conversion, dont rate powerflows as i have heard the boxes are not all that.

Had a rear wheel drive bmw e36 as my first car and drove a golf, passat, audi before getting the IS and the rear wheel drive feels like your in much more control (as long as your not booting it round corners like a madman) when I did decide to put my foot down it was very fun, the bmw scared me a couple of times as is as tail happy as the Lex, but i would always have rear wheel drive.

Its a 6310i, silver one (to match the dash, ha, ha) Chatted to a friend today who may be able to import a whole load of these arm rests, he is gonna let me know in a couple of weeks if he can. I assume lots of people will be interested.

its not that hard really guys, as some of you have said, the colour may not completely suit the car, but i can change it when i get bored !!

had to remove all the parts, all were easy apart from the dash tray thing, was stuggling for ages!!!

cheers mate, thought it would look odd cos it does not match car, looks okay though, but the dash tray reflects on to the inside of the widscreen which is sometimes a little annoying, ha, ha. the spray is just from any car shop like halfords, dont know the make, and have had it like that for months, sprayed loads of thin coats and it does not seem like it will come off (i hope!)

guys, been moddin my motor again, (on the cheap, of course) I got a little happy with the chrome spray I found in the garage, was a little bored too. Let me know what you think! Oh, by the way before anyone asks, yes the thing under the trac panel is a cd holder, its out of a w202, c-class merc, fits in okay too, looks factory, priced it up at the dealers, its a fortune, so got it out of a car from the scrap yard. I am really happy with the wheels, the quality is really good. The only problem is the steering, it feels pretty heavy around town, you guys get the same problem?

would 30mm drop just on springs catch (i assume not) just asking cos the standard shocks on our cars seem soft. Also could i drop more than 30mm without catching or rubbing? p.s I have added more pics of car to the is200/300 gallery for better views...

maybe there is other stuff abroad too we can import!!

Hey guys just got a set of 19 inch (8J) antera type 309's, my car is a older sport (no 15mm drop) and really wanted to lower it, as you can see by the piccy the back end looks like its on stilts! the front of the car seems okay and i just wondered it i could just lower it by springs. I have read previous threads on lowering and have come to the conclusion that i can only lower back by 25mm, and the back on the same. I wanted more of a drop but dont want to chnage whole suspension yet (no money). What can i do! Sorted your picture out mate - Zee

I think it was from a toyota carina, but not sure, the extra cup holders are not needed but they just dissapear back in to the unit, he just gave me it cos it had been lying at his home doing nothing, like you said, have been watching blue peter for years, so thought i'd have a go at fitting. Will see if my friends who own a bakery in bradford can import them, they import cakes and stuff and they may have contacts elewhere !!!

wish i did mate, but i am considering going to pakistan soon and if i can find them will buy about 50, (im serious) would be worth it dont u think?

I too recommend Zonealarm, version 4 is out now and norton 2003 too, it has recycle bin protection too (very handy) like its been said before always keep your virus definitions in norton up to date to avoid getting viruses!

You wont believe it guys, mate brought it back from holiday from pakistan, said it only cost him about £20.(i think!) I just bolted it to the existing console thingy. It works really well too and the cup holder slide in and out as shown. It open up too and has lots of storage space. a bargain in my opinion, am well pleased. Gonna recover it though when I have time, I too dont like that 'wood look'. Can't get hold of any more guys, sorry, im thinking of importing but dont really have any contacts, if any of you lot do then its worth considering cos ive priced up the original and its well expensive and im only a poor student!

If I saw an auto in scrap yard could i fit the cruise to my manual IS? if so what parts would i need to strip and where would they be? Has anyone done this?

hi guys, my lex keeps doing very strange things. When the car is started and i open the drivers door and close it again, the central locking seems to click (sounds like its unlocking, but the car is already unlocked). This happens every time the door is opened and closed while the car is started. Also, sometimes when i pull up and the doors are unlocked, when i turn the ignition off i get the same unlocking sound.....anyone else get this? or is it just me.....any reasons.

thanks lads, the stereo had stopped working,didnt check it at the time. Thought it was much worse by the funny sounds the car was making!. Will eventually get the circuit working i know. Duncan, do you live local (north east) read a post saying that you use Lexus Teesside, my car is the same colour and would appreciate a quick look at yours to get a few ideas. My number plate is the same as my username, u may have seen me around.

Just made the circuit that Geoffers kindly provided us all with. I had to start the project then put it on hold for a while. Anyway i marked the wores that came from the wfootwell connector and the ones that went to the mirrors. To cut a long story short i accidentally taped the footwell connector wires together. When i went to test the mirrors, i heard a cliking sound and then the doors kept unlocking (i think!) when i realised, i changed everthing beck the right way and now i dont have any power to the mirrors, i checked the fuses and teh only one i couyld find was the one for the mirror heater, has a fuse nblown or have i blown a realy?. I really need anyones help, the car is out of warranty so i need to fix this myself.......thanks in advance.
