The last reply is very true,dont sit at one speed.There is no running in time any more or different oil used for the first year.Take it steady and enjoy your new car! best IS ever made was the 250.

Isn't Denso part of Toyota? I thought they make all their electrical components............ Yes, Denso is part of the Toyota group. Denso is owned by Toyota/Lexus.Back to the point about a water temp sensor problem,you would normally have the orange engine man.light on if this was the case,the computor reads all the sensors all the time and would flag up a fault and put the light on.Around 20-25 m.p.g is around right for a rx300 for town driving.

unfortunatly lots of problems with the IS220D manual 6 speed box,take it back to your Lexus dealer.There are a few other issues you may have a problem with:selecting 6th gear(does it grind/crunch?).Hand brakes not holding(seems to be later cars than 06)worth keeping an eye on though.Injector problems was a big issue,does the car knock when cold and get better when it worms up?

I worked for Lexus and Toyota for 3 years,as you can understand we needed to refurb lots of wheels.We used to pay £55 including v.a.t each wheel.There are cheaper,but you need to ask how they will carry out the job,if they are not taken right down to the alloy(sand blasted or sanded)then the water gets back under and they will peel in a few years. -
