So you have an EOBD11 reader? you can still use a check wire on the plug under the bonnet,i think it is tc and e1(not 100%)if you put a wire between them with the ing turned on the e.m.l will flash to give you codes.

As long as you have a OBD11 for europe and your car is not a jap import you should be fine.Try the code reader on another car to see if it works o.k? Like i said before,the only time i have come across this is when a fuse has been blown,have you checked? you can easy blow a fuse putting an engine in.trapped wires ect.Hope this helps

if it was a new battery in january it should be under warranty and free to exchange? all come with one year and you can get 2-3-4 and life time warranty on batterys :winky:

scrap yard,if not a lexus one then try other makes of cars.You are only going to drill a hole in it any way!! might be worth a go

You should only get the one that has a problem replaced,many dealers just do all 4 or 5.Dont be surprised if you are changing them again before the warranty runs out.

Having been an assistant service manager at lexus/toyota,this is really bad to hear.The two ways i found work best in these situations is to ask them "what are you willing to do to help the situation?" this way you are not demanding,only asking and turning the tables!! allso "what would you do in my situation?" again you have turned the tables.they have to be very carefull what they say as Lexus will not except poor after sales.Best of luck,remember they make more money from you coming back for service than selling the car to you,they want your custom.

Boot space is a big problem with 450h,you really need to look at it first.Power is unreal,from a standing start it flys.Dont be fooled into extra m.p.g,you will either drive faster pulling away(you just cant help it,it flys)or dont forget you are lugging around that battery.second hand prices will allways be better for the 450h,they have just launched a new version,well face lift,well not even that really just more boot space,wait for it 2'' more!!!! They are bringing out an all new version soon,might be worth waiting for that,the prices of the old ones tends to drop off when new ones(with boots)come out.Great car though,love the blue interia lights.Good luck,and enjoy which ever one you get. :winky:

depending on the age of the car you should be able to check the old m.o.t's as to the milegae issues.warrantys and garantys are a big bag of worms my friend.The one line that i can help you with,if the un-thinkable happens,"is it fit for purpose".If you are un-sure ask for legel advise
