  1. At long last I have an IS 200 Sport again. I totalled my last one just over 4 years ago and almost totalled myself after clipping a kerb. In the meantime I have had the pleasure of driving various bangers, but now I have a quality car on the road once more. All of the wheels require a refurb and there are a couple of tiny dents on the N/S rear door, one in particular is right on the bodyline and I think it will take a bit of skill to remove it. There are some tiny chips that need attention. I had my first IS 200 Sport split new on the day of first registration and two days later there was a chip the size of a 5p on the bonnet. So as a previous poster under an old username, I'm well aware of the shortcomings of the paintwork. I got the RAC to do a thorough check and they commented on the inner wear on the front tyres. The seller was good enough to put new tyres on, however they are Admirals and they will be off as soon as I get a set of Goodyear F1s. They also reported that the vehicle had a slight drift to the left. This leads me to believe that the geometry and other steering issues need to be sorted. As for mods, they will be subtle such as the armrest, demon eyes and possibly smoked rear lights.but first on the list is getting rid of those horrendous EU plates and replacing them with something a little more British. I don't plan on doing any upgrades to the engine. The gear change still has that reassuring bolt action of an old Lee Enfield. Total Lexus sales speak. :winky: and it drives absolutely superb. All in all I'm delighted and for a 53 plate with 67,000 on the dial and I think I got a great deal for £7000. Anywho, here's some pics.
