  1. If the one you found online is on the craigslist london site, then walk away. There are people who have had problems with this and one owner who is in the process of taking legal action to get his money returned.
  2. IMHO you are ruining a great looking car with that on it. It looks so much out of place, maybe for a Supra or a Skyline, never for a Lexus. This is the Altezza spoiler I had on mine.
  3. Got the wheels on yesterday and still looking for a centre cap. The second pic is the cap that is slightly discoloured.
  4. I've had 2 Coupes in the past. A K plate I bought in 97 (216) and an S reg (218 VVC) I bought 3 years ago, both were around the 65k mark. I have to say I didn't have one bit of bother from either of them. The FDHs' were a rare breed and had a bit of power for a 220. Rovers' answer to the horrific Calibra and TBH they were a decent car in their day,esp after the subtle upgrades.

    Tte Centre Cap

I got a set of 17" Chicanes' from ebay a few weeks back. My Falken 452s' will be here next week so hopefully they will be on by the end of the week. A Lexus dealer has managed to get me 4 centre caps, 3 from Belgium and another from Japan of all places. The cap from Japan has been lying around for ages apparently and has become yellowed and discoloured, the others are spot on. I'm looking for another in decent condition. If anyone has a spare lying around I'd be grateful if you could send it my way and in return I'll send some cash. Thanks in advance.
  6. Slow uptake...No wonder everyone else went elsewhere. LOC is dead on it's arse, and that is saying something for the original Lexus site in the UK. The heart and soul of Lexus in the UK (IS200 owners) have moved on long ago and it shows. The only car that sold in any number in the UK was the IS 1st Gen (2nd Gen,BMW,pig in a poke, ugly machine that Mazda copied for their 6) and all the true enthusiasts have migrated elsewhere. LOC may still be here in the future, but the knowledge has long gone and don't you know it.
  7. If the fuse is ok and the connectors are in place then I think the motor on the seat has gone or a dodgy wire.
  8. Have a look at the connectors under the seat.

    17" Alloy

I'm looking for another alloy to use as my spare. It is a CAM 239, 17"x7", ET35 and the usual PCD. I'm not too fussed about the condition as I'll get it refurbed. I know they are an old alloy now and quite rare. Cheers.
  10. In about 3 weeks I'll have a genuine TTE bumper and rear skirt for sale. :winky:
  11. I don't see why it wouldn't fit. Just ensure that you get all the parts that are required to fit off the scrapped one. Installation here
  12. Thanks. I still have the wheels but I sold the bootlid complete a few days before your post.
  13. Sounds about right if you took it to a lexus garage, cost me almost 400 quid just to have the timing belt done. Had mine done at Lexus Sheffield three weeks ago. 90k service, timing belt and tensioner replaced (water pump didn't need replacing) for a tidy sum of £461.
  14. This should help you out.Go to repair manual, front brake caliper.
  15. Non-standard. I think the Rays SS7 Campionato look fantastic on the IS.
  16. No mate. No warning lights at all. Still working perfectly since it was fitted.
  17. I'm thinking about selling my bootlid that is fitted with the high spoiler and fitting the original back on. I'm gauging interest here. It was fitted at the end of January and cost £420 for the lid,spoiler,painting(8N8 Strathcarron Blue )/fitting and badges. Admin, if I receive enough interest in this then I'll put it up in the for sale section.
  18. So if you had a lot of expenditure elsewhere, your MOT is due and you have just noticed that your tyres are down to the marker bars, you'd do what?.... Walk? Buy 4 cheap retreads, get through the MOT and when cash permits buy some decent tyres.
  19. Cheap rubbish. A 4" square patch of rubber on each corner holding my car on the road in all conditions. I think I would rather keep my faith in a tried and proven brand of tyres, thank you.
  20. Possibly the one and only time an IS 1st gen would ever be compared to a Mitsubishi.........:D Looks can be deceiving....why I love this car, no matter which angle you view it from it always looks amazing. Unlike it's younger sibling which to me is bland, bland, bland.
