  1. Your IS is just amazing. Each addition just gets better and better. Fantastic work Patrick.
  2. Thanks mate. I don't mind putting the effort in and when you see the end result of a good few hours graft it is pleasing, especially when the paint sparkles, although my body is feeling it. :D
  3. Washed today with Zymol then polished using SRP and finally waxed with Meguiars NXT Tech. Had to do the washing pretty quick before the overcast skies cleared to let the blazing sunshine through. Overall, I'm pleased with the result and I can now see the chips, scratches and tiny dents that need sorted. I just love metallic paint when it is sunny. I'm no David Bailey so the pics are not that great. Meant to add I used the Meguiars Quick Detailing spray and clay bar after it was washed and dried. The crap that came off the roof was unbelievable, brown and rusty looking in appearance. :o
  4. If you can get them at a decent price, say £100 and they are the new type then count me in.
  5. Thats not bad, but for four wheels with tyres for £31. I should have been wearing a mask and holding a gun.
  6. I was looking for a set of wheels to use over the winter as I'm planning to get the current ones refurbished and I don't want to ruin them with all of the salt and grit that is expected when the weather turns crap. Anyway, I found a set of four 17" wheels on the bay and luckily I won the auction. I wasn't too fussed about the condition of them,as long as they were good to go I was happy. The guy I got them from lives over 200 miles + from me, however I have an old work colleague who lives not too far from the seller in Upavon, and he kindly volunteered to collect them. He sent these this afternoon after he got them home. He reckons that they are in great condition and look no way as bad as they do on eBay. I'll collect them when I go down to Wiltshire for a wee golfing break in September. Delighted I got these wheels for such a bargain. Do you reckon this could be one of the deals of the week on eBay?
  7. This is quite easy to put together and fit, although once it was installed, for some reason they didn't close and then I realised that the bonnet was still up, as it was open to disconnect the battery during fitting. :duh:
  8. For some reason I thought there would be a delay. :iraqi-info-minister: No problem,it is working fine. :D Thanks for clearing that up. Please wait a few seconds for Video to Load!
  9. Just done the mod for the mirrors, thanks for the details and info. It is working fine but there isn't a time delay as they close as soon as I lock the car. I put the minute timer on 0 and the seconds to around 5. Anyone know why the time delay isn't working? Thanks.

  11. Hi and welcome to LOC. The build quality and reliability of the IS 200 is fantastic. Driver Power 2009 winner.............. http://tinyurl.com/myrq9l Hhhmmm...that article basically says the Lexus IS is good but bad???? basically here just to pick up on any niggles the IS has and what to look out for when buying. May even find one on here! :) Running costs can be on the expensive side and although it is not quick out of the traps, get it above 4000 rpm and it is a different matter. It also depends what you are looking for. Do you want a car that is manufactured to high standards and will rarely let you down or are you after something with more speed? As mentioned by Kam 05. The knowledge base is a good place to begin. Happy hunting , hope you find the right car.

  15. Cheers Ormi. A fount of knowledge here on LOC and my digits are still intact. :D
  16. Done and dusted in under 10 mins. Thanks all.
