  1. Looks great.... So does this just 'slide' over the existing exhaust tip.....? Great find...
  2. I don't remember there being any speaks in my rear doors......? hmmmmm..... I'm sure there isn't....
  3. Hi How many speakers does an SE Navigator have as standard. I've just read the spec sheet for the IS200 and it says the SE has an 8 speaker system (as apposed to the 6 speaker system in the S). Presumably the SE Navigator also has an 8 speaker system, but where should they be? It might sound like a stupid question but I'm sure mine only has 6 speakers? Cheers
  4. Has anyone fitted one of these cupra slitters to a standard SE bumber.... If not... do you think it would work/look ok? Cheers
  5. I think they look great mate... do they come on when you unlock the car..?
  6. Correct.. it's for the supercharger.... My thought was that perhaps I could chop it back a little to give more of a 90 degree bend and then run the induction tubes across the engine in the way you have. I thought it might give a neater link with the throttle body that's all... Is it not wortht he hassle....?
  7. Very interested in this and I'm racking my brain to come up with some way of installing an induction kit but at the same time keeping the OEM engine cover/air box (obviously which will no longer be used as an air box - it's just there looks). I've seen this... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...e=STRK:MEWAX:IT On ebay and i'm thinking it could come in useful... What are your thoughts...? Cheers
  8. Thanks guys.. What I didn't realise when made the original post was that you can't 'dismount' the rear caliper without disconnecting the brake hose. Is this correct? If so, I'm not sure I feel capable enough to do this myself.... :eerrrmm: Anyone got any advice.....? Cheers again
  9. Hi all, Last night when I left the motorway on my way home the car seemed to be dragging (slowing up quickly) when i dipped the clutch to change gear. My first thought was a flat or soft tyre but the ride seemes fine? My second thought was to this forum and the regular topic of sticky calipers. When I got home, 5 mins from the morotway I could smell brakes when I got out of the car. Putting my hand close to each wheel to judge the temperature it was clear the rear drivers side was much much hotter than all the other wheels. I left the car to cool while I got on the net to do a bit more research. This morning I though I would see what happened. Parked up at the end of my journey and everything seemed fine, no smell and I could even touch the disc (warm but I could touch it never the less.). Does anybody have any ideas? Do people think a quick clean and lubricate would help or is something more drastic required? Cheers
  10. Not even started it..... Will it do any harm? Cheers
  11. Not really sure what i'm looking at mate.. sorry... probably me being dumb...
  12. The car has done 53K miles...... been driving at similar speeds over the last few days (with only me in the car) and the vibration is hardly noticible.... very confusing...?
  13. Not really done much to solve the problem, but...... there has been a development... It seems the vibration/wobble gets worse the hevier the car is. I had a car full yesterday and the vibration was noticibly worse. Dose this point to a particular diagnosis...? Cheers
  14. I don't know what the problem is, but one of mine does the same thing... I'll be watching this thread with interest...
  15. No, my car has had a vibration from the rear (i.e. not affertinc the steering/steering wheel) at about 78mph (I noticed this on a private road of course) and I'm trying to think of possible causes. A buckled wheel may be a long shot though as the vibration is more noticible when lifting off the throttle and there is also a vibration under braking - all from the rear. I've had a feel of the calipers/wheels after along run and none seem particularly hot... could a warped disc cause a vibration when i'm not braking...?
  16. Has anyone exerienced this or know whether it's common? (In relation to any IS200 wheels really but specifically SE ones) Cheers
  17. Where's the best place to get my hands on a full set of Mintex discs and pads? Also, how much should I be looking to pay? Cheers
  18. Obviously the traction control on my is200 has seen quite a bit of action over the past few days, but there are a couple of things i've noticed: 1. When going up hills on ice, the dash light flashes and there is a wierd noise (there's no other way of describing it) from the rear of the car. 2. The traction control doesn't stop the wheels from spinning - going up hills on ice the wheels will continue to spin despite the flashing and noise described above.. Are the above normal or have I got something to worry about/get checked out...? Thanks Adam
  19. Thanks for this. Do you happen to know how much a set would cost? Cheers Adam
  20. Does anyone know which McGuard locking nuts fit standard wheels?
  21. When you are replacing the rear pads do you need to wind the pistons back and then adjust them once everything is back in place? Thanks
  22. When I test drove the car there was a vibration present constantly at about 65mph, I asked them to have the wheels balanced and this vibration went. Now it seems that there is only a vibration under braking...............?
  23. The vibration is there all the time - hot or cold.
  24. I checked all the wheels for a temperature difference... nothing noticable...? If it were the front discs which were warped would I not feel anything through the steering under braking....? currently there's nothing.....? Cheers
