  1. Cheers thanks, will give it a shot when I get round to it. Decided to go for ngk's, would have liked the denso's but they seem to be almost double the price of NGK's??
  2. Hi All, Thinking of upgrading my spark plugs to some ngk iridium after reading posts here. Can anyone who's done it before tell me which size socket I need? Reading the posts and doing search on this forum, some say 10mm some say 12mm? Do I need something like this: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/16MM-FLEXIBLE-SPARK-PLUG-WRENCH-13867-TOOL-10MM-TREAD-/370570068106?pt=UK_Hand_Tools_Equipment&hash=item5647b2808a with 10mm tread? Any advice appreciated. Cheers. D
  3. Cheers thanks, found it, looks like the last owner didnt know where it was either as it was full of leaves!
  4. Hi All, I've always ran KN air filters and thinking the same for the IS 200 but for the life of me I can't seem to see where the airbox is for the air filter?! Has anyone got a pic or tell me where it is? Sorry for the simple question but it's not even in the handbook. Thanks for any help in advance. Cheers.
  5. The garage can plug in the diagnostic kit and tell you which one is misfiring. If you can pay for all of them getting done at the same time then you may as well, I had an audi and one failed after another. Not sure if it's a DIY job?
  6. After lots of interenet googling got my problems solved. In answer to my own questions this may help others. 1. no there isnt a way to disarm the double locking system that I could find. 2. when changing seat belts the battery must be disconnected or a fault code will appear. Think will live with the seat belt. Cheers.
  7. Hi, Have finally got into an IS200 and enjoying every minute of it but have a few questions: 1. My alarm fob doesn't work so for time being am just using key to lock and unlock doors. Is it possible to set the key to lock and unlock all the doors at the same time? I seem to have the "double locking system" so it means I have to use the door switch once I've opened the door - a bit of an inconvenience, so is there a way to turn off the double locking system? 2. My drivers seat belt has seen better days and am going to source a used one, has anyone changed one before? Would I need to disable the drivers side airbags or disconnect the battery to do this? Thanks for any help appreciated. Cheers D
  8. Hi, Can someone help, I was test driving an SEL and when the car stopped the steering moved away from you. When you start the engine the wheel moved back into your set position. Can someone advise is this only option on SEL or do the SE and sport models have this option. Thanks in advance. Dan
  9. Hi everyone, My first post, am considering the lexus 250 auto but would be grateful for some advice. 1. Is velvet black, metallic? I've seen in the brochure it is "solid paint" ? 2. Do all SEL models come with the wood trim - can this be changed to the aluminum look of the SE? 3. Does the sport models come with the aluminium or wood interior trim and does it have suspension changes? (4. Are there many changes to the recent facelift changes - sorry found the front page article on this!) 5. When do you think the IS is due another full face change - do lexus make major changes every 6 years from model launch like some other manufacturers? Apologies for all the questions, have read some of the other posts and find this sight very useful. Thanks in advance. Dan
