  1. Cheers, thanks, looks like the one I have will work but will just take a bit longer to charge. Can't afford to shell out another £50 or so for the halfords one at the moment. Rolll on the summer soon....
  2. Hi Guys, Cold weather seems to have taken the best out of my lex. Have had a problem with a dead battery, I have a bosch S4 rated at 12volts and 60Ah. I have this battery charger: http://batterytender.com/waterproof-800-usa-western-hemisphere.html rated at 800mA. Any ideas if this will charge my battery up again or should I need something bigger like this: http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_storeId_10001_catalogId_10151_productId_270511_langId_-1_categoryId_255205#tab2 Any help appreciated to save me buying another battery charger. Thanks in advance. Cheers.
  3. If the seller hasnt had them balanced then it would be worth getting them all done at any local tyre specialist.
  4. Thanks guys for all your input, ended up going for the DIY route saving myself about £35 and also learnt something in the process. Battery came with 4 year warranty as well. Simple job, I didn't know what I was doing but managed to sort it all in 20 minutes. Recommended, nothing better to taking care of your lexus yourself! Cheers.
  5. Thanks guys, will check with lexus to make sure. Saved me a few bob. How easy is the battery to fit? Do I need any special tools? Your adviced much appreciated. Cheers. Dan
  6. Cheers thanks for that, the website isn't working but found a similiar one for much cheaper here: http://www.carparts4...f449d955 But the battery terminals seem to be the wrong way round to my varta battery? http://www.lexusowne...leryℑ=7206 Will this fit, is it easy to change the terminals around? Cheers. Dan

  9. Hi All, Looks like my IS200 needs a new battery, best price I could find was £79.99 fully fitted. Is this the going rate? At this cost doesn't seem worth buying and fitting myself unless anyone has seen it cheaper? Any recommendations appreciated? Many thanks. Dan
  10. *****, £230 for an arm rest! and you got to fit it yourself. Cheaper to use the cans and get some fleabay lids http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CAN-LID-CONVERTER-/260980496340?pt=UK_Home_Garden_Food_SM&hash=item3cc3a657d4
  11. 8,000 miles seems a bit low for potenzas, you must have a heavy right foot? whats the lexus service plan - is it an upfront payment?
  12. wow, is that a aftermarket intercooler as well?
  13. sorry to hear you are leaving the fold, as you say am sure you will return to a lex sometime in the future!
  14. Just bought this today, useful info with pics on how to do some basic changes. Not sure about setting the heater controls to re-circulate first before changing pollen filter. I changed mine with no problems and its not recommended in the handbook. Makes for a good read.
  15. Wow, that looks pretty good with the black on black theme. Thumbs up!
  16. Cheers for the heads up, will check this months out.
  17. I was just wondering, what tyre make did the lexus is 200 sport originally come with from factory standard? Anyone still got their originals to be able to tell? Cheers. D
  18. The trc button should light up or go off when you press it so as you say maybe something wrong or someone hardwired it. I think the is300 has trc and vsc compared to our is200 and you were not able to turn the vsc off completely. maybe an is300 member can provide some info. And yes good job resurrecting a 4year thread!
  19. I can report back, my £85 got me around 375miles that's filling from the reserve light and running it down to the reserve light again. I reckon if I took my chances, I could get 400 miles - although this was mainly motorway miles.
  20. Thanks guys, ormi looks like you were one of the lucky ones to bag one while you still could. Maybe I should change the title to "death of the supercharger", there doesn't seem to be anyplaces doing a decent conversion:( sparkystav, I see you went down the turbocharging route, are turbo's for the is200 still available? Cheers. D
  21. Try the familiar places like fleabay or any breakers, not sure if it's generic fit though as I dont have one:(
  22. Thats pretty good mileage on fronts! Scrubber here too, its so easy to do especially if your in a tight spot, the lex doesn't have parking sensors either...
  23. Nice pics and nice alloys! Good choice of colour too, I've not seen many of the IS around in this. Continue to enjoy the drive!
  24. Hi All, Have been looking into supercharger options for the is200, looks like the TTE one had good reviews but is no longer available. Is this the only remanining option for supercharging? http://www.tdi-plc.com/catalog/rotrex-supercharger-conversion-p-14654.html by torque develpoments?? But even then looks like to be still in development. Anyone lucky owners here in the past had there's supercharged and if they remember the cost? Cheers. D
