  1. Hi mate, so i will need spriggot rings at 75mm for all four wheels?? and then 1mm spacers for the front and 5 mm spacers for the rear? is that right lol? correct me if im wrong mm8
  2. Hi all, looking at some new alloys with these measurments , would these fit on my is200? 18x8J ET38 Center Bore = 75mm The rims are 5x114.3
  3. So let me get this straight... if i lock all the doors one by one manually and then lock the drivers door with they key alone.. then wouldnt the car still self lock itself? and activate the alarm anyway?
  4. p.s when i double locked it the indicators also flashed 5 times. (disabling the interior sensors i believe) ??
  5. hi all, just locked my car using the double click method. i sat in my car whilst i did it, and mooved around rather vigeriously and NO alarm went off... i then repeated the test with one click and the alarm went off.. so do you think this has solved it ? and do you think this is why it hasnt been going off every single night as i may have used the double click sometimes to lock it, not realising. ???
  6. thanks for the replies.. how do i manually disconect the interior sensors? apart from using the fob, or do i have to use the fob regardless? also if i lock the car manually with the key, does it not set the alarm?
  7. ive just disconected the battery for now so that the alarm doesnt keep going off, because its doing my head in. plus im going abroad next week so i need to disconect the battery for then anyway
  8. hi mate, no u can tell its brand new, its immaculate, looks brand new, also the mechanic checked all the levels etc.. the battery its working fine.
  9. Just come off the phone to lexus and firstly he tried to say there is no fault with the is200 alarms and then i mentioned the about the interior sensors and he stuttered for ages and then he told me that there is a common problem with the interior roof sensors of the is200 and that it can earth out and cause the alarm to trigger. he then tried telling me i would need the whole roof stripping down and insulating all the wires including the roof that would need insulating. he said it would be a 7 hour job at £70 an hour, that amounts to nearly £500 pounds. which is a F***in joke! he also said it is the only way around the problem. i suggested turning the motion sensors off and he said no you cant because its apart of the ECU. ????
  10. how are the motion sensors turned down? is it just a switch or do they have to go through the ecu?
  11. it had a brand new battery a few weeks ago mate. if i had the interior sensors disarmed would it solve the problem?
  12. Hi all, right my alarm is really confusing me, and its causing many sleepless nights. Basically, last night the alarm was going off every 20 minuites. it started around 3.00 am in the morning. waking the whole street. it also did it the other night (again, early hours of the morning). but it doesnt do it in the day? and also it doesnt do it every single night, but its getting more and more frequent. what could this be ? and is it something that can be easily stopped? last night i had to slightly leave my door open so it couldnt self lock itself. which seemed to stop the problem but still this isnt really very safe. has anyone else encountered this probelm?
  13. No it was just the air sensor.. id left it out. lol.
  14. when i checked my spark plugs yesterday i took the air box off and remebered theres an air sensor clip which i seem to think i forgot to reconect, lol oops. could this be it? would the ecu light come one if this was disconected
  15. Hi all, looking for some advice.. just had a phone call from the mechanic and as he is doing the cambelt and radiator.. and he said ''the engine management light keeps coming on, so i dont know what thats about''. and i was like oh right, well it wasnt like that the other day.. and he said he would have a look round. what could this be ??
  16. Well what i'll do chris is like ive said above, get this new rad, cambelt and w/pump fitted and see if it makes any difference? if it still leakes then i will deffinatly get in contact with you... Tuesdays are good for me... what sort of time are you free generaly?
  17. lol its like trying to find a needle in a haystack a tell ya. i,ll probably have more change winning the lottery than finding this pissin leak..! lol tbh its becoming more of a joke than a problem. im thinking once ive got the new rad and pump done, just leave it and moniter the header tank, if it then starts to loose coolant from the rad then there must be an internal issue...
  18. Hi mate, Ive seen these supposed plug in chips on ebay claiming a rediculas increase in BHP yet it only looks like a small peice of plastic with a microchip inside.. Personally i dont think i would trust them to be honest. Your far better off paying the price and getting the job done properly with a reliable company! At the end of the day you wont want it messing up your ECU. or at the worst damaging your engine! and to be honest i would of thought you will be lucky to gain 5bhp never mind 45! :o
  19. Dazz, if it insnt the gasket, then it could possibly the head i guess. the water pump and radiator are getting changed on thursday so if it isnt cured after that its gotta be a crack, if theres no signs of mayo?
  20. hi chris, Yeah it would be really helpfull to drop over one night mate. What sort of checks would you be doing, just out of intrest? and also how much would you charge ? dont know what checks myself as it will be looked at by my mate who is a Lexus technician, depends on what lengths he goes into checking. Usually it would be a free check but wouldnt be no more than £20 Oh right ok, Yeah that would be good mate, as i could spend forever and a day worrying about the gasket and i would rather no for deffinate yes or no lol, just for piece of mind really. its just really annoying as you can probably understand. if i did come over what sort of nights are you free?
