  1. should i use a hair dryer to heat them up? then carefully prize them off with dental floss?
  2. hi all, debadging? is it just a case of heating them up and removing them like most cars or are they fixed into the body work, and will require smoothing etc??
  3. cheers guys, thats all good then. it seems a common thing. thanks.
  4. when it does it, i cant feel it through the gear stick or anything like that, i could only describe it to be a noise asif you were to punch a feather pillow?
  5. hi all, right my gear box drives and changes fine, its nice and tight and changes into gear fine, however when i change from first into second at low revs or quickly theres a very faint almost what i would call a thud? its hard to explain really, it doesnt sound anything bad but just strange really. is this normal??
  6. Have you had the battery checked? its probably worth getting that done, if its not starting first time and seems slugish and drowsy thats the first thing i would do mate. also when was it last serviced?
  7. hi all, im a noob at changing diff & gearbox oil... what is the best and easiest way and also has anyone got a step by step with pics or a link to the lexus bible? i also wanted a list of the best performance differential and gearbox oil ?? cheers guys.
  8. how the hell do you change the diff and gearbox oil guys? and one got a step by step or lexus bible?
  9. lmao sorry!!!! i meant falken ze912! ooooops :shutit:
  10. hi guys, thanks for the advice with it all, i have decided to go with 225's on the rear and 215's on the front like ormi said. i have ordered a set of federals ZE 912s as they had pritty good ratings on the web and get them fitted next saturday, also ynotshi what profile have you got then they 45's or 50's? i also live in the sticks lol
  11. Cuz im uprading from 16's m8 , and i hate huge ***** alloys what look like they should be on a monster truck and too superior for the car, i had 19's on my old st and they drove like ***** cuz they wouldnt track up right because they were far too big for the car and i regreted it ever since i bought them. so im sticking to 17's for now, im also lowering the car on coilovers so i dont want to put huge alloys on and have to role the arches etc...
  12. what have you got on yours notshi ? they look like 19's? let me know.
  13. Right, im really frustrating myself as i am lowering my car just after xmas, with a set of coilovers and i am putting a brand new set of alloys on 17''! Ive been told 225 45 17 for the rear and 215 45 17 for the front, but my tyre fitter told me that the lower i go with the car the tyre becomes wider which has put me off.? will i still have plenty of arch width clearance if i lower it with 225's on the rear? im looking at Kumhos 225 45 17 to the rear and 215 45 17 to the front?? let me know what you guys think?
  14. i see mate, well mine are all the same rim size, does this matter?
  15. so the 45 size is that the profile of the tyre? whats low profile classed as 40 i guess? and i take it 50 is standard?
  16. cheers mate yeah i think it will look pritty good! u got any pics of the stagered look m8, dont think ive ever seen one? :)
  17. i dont want the alloys to patrude over the arch as it will look stupid lol like you said it will look like a euro look so will 225's sit just nicely when its lowered?
  18. lol i meant the arch, sorry haha. so 225 on a 17inch 7.5j will be fine then on the rear, and then 215's to 7.5j rim to the fronts :)?????
  19. im also lowering the car with coilovers will this make a difference if im running 225's to the rear? its not going to catch on the sil?
  20. has anyone got a pic of 215's to front and 225's to rear just so i know how they will look?
  21. hi all, what is the best tyre to get to give my car that nice chunky look, i dont want them looing too big, but what tyres sizes can i use? is 215/40/17 too big? ino the standard width is 45. any sugestions or pics?
