  11. your tyres may of been flat in terms of psi, i changed mine the other week and noticed that the car was a bit more twitchy than with the old tyres on, but the guy did say that they had like 20psi in them!

  14. Remote Programming 1. Close and lock all doors. Unlock and open drivers door. 2. Put key into ignition and remove. Do not turn it on. 3. Using the electric lock switch. Lock and unlock 5 times. (Lock, Unlock, Lock, Unlock, Lock, Unlock, Lock, Unlock, Lock, Unlock) 4. Close and open drivers door. 5. Using the electric lock switch. Lock and unlock 5 times. (Lock, Unlock, Lock, Unlock, Lock, Unlock, Lock, Unlock, Lock, Unlock) 6. Put key into ignition. Turn to "ON" , turn off and remove. 7. You will see the door locks cycle by themselves. If the door locks do not cycle (lock and unlock) by themselves then the car isn’t in programming mode and you must start over. 8. On the remote, press and hold the LOCK and the UNLOCK button at the same time for no more than 2 seconds. 9. On the remote, press the LOCK button for no more than 1 second. AT THIS POINT, the locks should cycle by themselves ONE time. This means the procedure was accepted. IF the locks cycle twice it has failed. The most common reason for programming failure is because the car didn’t receive a good signal from the remote. To fix this problem try these tips. 1) Stand outside of the car while you are performing steps 8 and 9. 2) Don’t hold the remote buttons down as long. As long as the car is still in programming mode you can keep trying steps 8 and 9 until you complete the programming. If you wait too long and the car exits the programming mode then you must start over. After you get the remote to program then continue on with step 10. 10. Close and open door to end programming procedure. just got a new key and fresh transponder. i tried the first method and cant get it to lock and unlock to say its accepted. So i tried the method above, i can get it to item 7. but it just locks and unlocks once? i try pressing unlock and lock then lock but it doesnt do anything? as soon as i remove the key and it does that one cycle the secuity light just flashes like normal? should it still be flashing fast when doing 8. and 9.? done it about 50 times already argh! also cant get any immobiliser ones to work at all sad.gif can anyone help
  15. will retry with the opening method, think ive done it wrong! the key does the elecs and works so i am not that bothered, but cant believe its still longer!

  20. Hi Guys i got a transponder from Jay on here (thanks mate) and bought a key from ebay, it was this one: Key i noticed that there are longer keys available, so i measured mine and its about 37mm. have i bought one of the longer keys? its 40mm long the key cutter said it wont be the fact that my original key has worn down? anyone point me in the right direction. regards Sean
  21. i got £60 to do 250 miles over xmas, normally i get 350+ miles from motorway dirving
  22. so what do i need to find to match this? a blank key? then what is the next step. regards Sean
  23. oh so i can get an approved one? not have to go to the dealers? they said that they dont sell it in 5litre (*whatever size) containers but draw it off from a massive barrell as and when needed? i am not going to the dealer to get it done but my local mechanic rang them and this was the outcome!
