Let me know when you get round to selling them , i'll probably have them off you when ive got my car on the road again, got 2 sets of the standard 17's that need refurbing then i'll be selling them and looking for some new ones. What are they 35 profile ?

thanks Dave, its just a 2001, and yeah it originally had just the lip spoiler with no brake light in, but after several arguments they agreed to replace it with a new spoiler - originally they didn't even replace the boot, even though it didn't shut properly - but they just changed the badges to make it look like it had been changed, moral of the story should have gone to Lexus Coventry. :tsktsk: yeah the brake light unit is still on the rear parcel shelf, but i'll have a look to see if they disconnected it or removed the bulb, knowing them they've properly just taken a hammer to it until it stops working. Seen as im off work for the next couple of days think i will take a look at it : )

thanks for the photo, had a look had the engine running and disconnected it, no difference ? perhaps it has failed? i would have thought the revs would alter if i disconnected it but nothing happened. Perhaps its worth buying one and trying? what do you think? have you had to replace yours before?

Hello, your comment about not replacing the bulb because the light will show up on the dash ? Basically some guy went into the back of my is200, made the mistake of taking it to a place called Just Car Clinic in Hinckley - as advised by my insurance company. big mistake - they fitted a spoiler that had rear brake light, great i thought, managed to get a rear spoiler instead of just the lip spoiler. unfortunately Lexus Coventry said that they hadn't wired it in correctly and that to correct it would cost £117 :tsktsk: after several arguments and JCC not having a clue how to fix it and trying to give a fiesta as a courtesy car i give up - i just need it sorting. Its just the exclamation light - red in a circle (same as when you have you handbrake on ) , but its permanently on - very annoying is it worth having them do it for that much ? or is there an easier fix ?

Thanks for the fast replies. engine light came on when it was first fired up , not been on since. Will have a good check tonight and see if there are any plugs not clipped in correctly. I took it to a friend with a diagnostic machine and nothing came up ? Where abouts is the Air Mass sensor Felix ? Sorry im more of a computer buff than a mechanic

Good afternoon everyone - this is my first post. Ive got a 2001 Is200 Sport manual. It has a full Lexus service history but i recently had a friend of mine who's a mechanic to change my filters, oil and spark plugs. All went well until i fired it up - when i start it from cold it ticks over at 2,000 Rpm and even whens its warm its still idling at 1,200 way too high. Have any of you had this before ? and ideas? I phones Lexus Coventry and they've booked me in for first thing friday and theyre also servicing it for me. But meanwhile im stuck with a poorly lexus and i use it to drive to work when i dip the clutch as soon as the rev's drop to 600RPm it revs up to 2000 again ??? random ? Any help would be greatly appreciated Thanks in advance Lloyd
