  1. mines a 2001, cant remember exactly but i think they said 7 years or 100,000 to me - and they said mine had never been done so i had mine changed at 72,000 on the clock - but at least it won't need doing for a while now :) I Use my car a lot, so when i book it in i always say "would it be ok if i came to collect 1st thing in the morning?" and they usually are fine with this- provding ive booked in advance- understandably they dont always have loan cars all the time. but the ones ive had have been awesome - Is220d Rx400H is250 Sport well worth the extra just to drive one of them for the day - i wouldnt be able to hire any of them cars if i tried due to age restrictions. lol :winky:
  2. I had mine done at Lexus coventry - all lexus dealers work are covered by a 12 month warranty (thats what they told me) and you'll get a nice new one to drive round in for the day. cant remember how much mine cost - but that sounds like a good price to me mate mine needed doing because of the age rather than the milage - and its one of them things not worth putting off. lol
  3. I cant seem to get on the site i got it from, maybe their servers down. Ive just loaded my version up and its stil free and ive had it on this laptop for at least 6 months. I'll PM you in the next few days when ive found you the version i have mate
  4. no mate - its just purely for music and very easy and quick, and isohunt is a website, seeksy is a piece of software :D is it just a player/converter and burner program then lloyd , gonna google it in a bit. no mate sorry, Its just a software where you can search for your MP3's to download only for backup reasons of corse :winky: :winky:
  5. no mate - its just purely for music and very easy and quick, and isohunt is a website, seeksy is a piece of software :D
  6. oh and in response to FM transmitters i would seriously give it a miss, mines really really quiet and very "tinny". mid range and Bass are a big part of any music and altho mine was uber cheap i wouldnt use it again! lol
  7. Its also worth considering that quality of your MP3's with depend on the "sampling rate" usually right clicking on the file and going to "properties" then the "details" tab will help you determine the quality of your MP3. anything around 192Kbps is perfect and more than ample for what you need :)and if you ever use windows media player for your converting its give you the option when converting to change which quality you require. I use Seeksy for my music, its a great little piece of software and even works a treat on my mobile broadband at work ;) google it if you get 5mins spare
  8. Try burning them at the slowest speed possible - this will reduce the risk of the disks failing and also make them more "hardy" towards scratching. I use all different kinds of software for burning etc - but mostly i use NTi media maker that was on my laptop when i bought it. As for CDR's I buy off the bay of e. however recently play.com have been quite good - i bought 100 TDK for £9.99 delivered bargain
  9. ive had 2 Is's - my first i took up to 137,000 and i can honestly say - its drives just as superb as the one i have now with half that milage. just make sure its got some service history and you'll be fine. best of luck with your search ! :)
  10. yeah sounds good mate. perhaps one saturday or sunday i could cruise over your way. Do you have any tools etc? im only in hinckly but i do a lot of traveling about with work etc. you won't be dissapointed in this spoiler it does look very good - and with all the mods on your motor it will look sweet as ! Im always getting asked where i got it from :)
  11. Its mint condition - It was replaced in sept 09 - had a guy crash into the back of me, so it had a new boot - badges and i got to pick the spoiler i had too. I haven't got a clue how to take it off or how to wire it up : (
  12. hiya mate, i'll take some photos of mine so you can see what it looks like in platinum ice - but this is exactly the same as mine
  13. hi all, Im looking for a boot in platinum ice silver mine has a spolier on - but i want to change it for the lip. mine is the genuine lexus spolier with the LED lights built in. if anyone knows how to disconnect it i'd happily swap :)
  14. fair play mate :) wishing you all the best with your saving and searching !
  15. I had mine done at the same place - on felix's recommendation. they took about 2 weeks but you cant rush quality and they did my set of 4 for £80. they charge £10 for taking off and re-fitting your tyres, but my tyres were worn out anyway. So to summarise £80 = an absolute bargain + top quality wheels ! thanks again felix :D
  16. Welcome :) mine does click, but its exceptional quiet
  17. sound as a pound mate : ) used a blank off the bay of e for 7.99. took it down to them on saturday morning and within 7 mins i was driving home using my new key. Duplicut are spot on - would highly recommend them to any of you. Its always a good sign when they're mega mega busy ! Many Thanks to Felix - I owe you a beer mate !
  18. hiya mate, check service history - and check to see if the cambeelt etc has been done - altho its low mileage it should have had it done by now- this can be costly. also check the discs - not expensive to replace but worth checking - the past 2 ive bought needed the rear ones doing. Check the CD player - if its the original lexus one, check that it loads and plays CD's - most fail - displaying a "error" message. original cd players are expensive to replace/repair - most replce them with aftermarket ones. aside from that all the obvious stuff HPi check etc. im sure a few other members will have things to add :) hope this helps you
  19. thanks matey : ) what a relief - thought i'd messed up then ! :)
  20. Need you help again please folks ! Just noticed my new blank is different to my existing key. The blade is slightly longer - does this matter ?
  21. Thansk for all your replies LexyNik : I can understand where your coming from if the guy hadn't seen me before - but ive been going to him buying locks + keys since i was 17. And he knows ive had a lexus since i was 19. the guys a :tsktsk: in my mind, wont be going there again. ever ! lol Felix - thanks mate, thats spot on and their only 25 mins from me too - gonna give them a ring tommorrow. I owe you a beer ! :D Scudney : thanks for your reply Mate. hoping Felix's main man will sort me out :)
  22. Hi everyone ! just got a new casing for my main 3 button key fob ( it snapped ) just looking for somewhere to cut it for me ? the local lock shop guy refused to do it :tsktsk: Im in hinckley in leicester so anywhere fairly local any idea how much its gonna set me back ? Thanks : )
  23. hiya mate, sorry to pinch your topic, just wanted to know if since u fitted this if you had the handbrake warning light stuck on ? mines been permanently on since i had someone go into the back of me - had a nice new spoiler with the brake light in the middle. regret it now : ( lexus coventry want £117 to fix
  24. "In order to earn the circled 'E' on their sidewall, tyres have to pass the ECE R30 high-speed test, which ensures they can carry a specified percentage of their rated load at close to their rated maximum speed without failure. But there are no statutory tests of braking, handling or aquaplaning performance, and even the R30 test is considered inadequate by many car makers. In other words, just because a tyre can legally be sold in the UK, that is no guarantee of its performance in safetycritical aspects of normal driving." Like has been said before if you can't afford to maintain your Lexus properly then buy something cheaper you can afford the upkeep on. Budget tyres don't have a place in this end of the market IMO. My lexus has a full dealer service history, and over the past 3 years of ownership this alone has cost £1800. So mechanically my Is is perfect : )
