hmm yeah now that i've actually read some of the posts it's probably a fake...
oh well atleast it's a damn good fake! :)
Thought 4X4 drivers were the last one's to have a say when it comes to style? :winky:
edit: of course this excludes anyone who's got a 4X4 and read this! :D

geez, what an ugly car!
-
trying to find some parts for my LS400, found this site that's apparently got them but it's giving me the option of loaded and unloaded calipers, anyone got any idea on what the difference is and which one I should order?
-
think you need new tyres m8! :D
-
mine's a '92, but i dunno whether they're the same parts, waitin for the numbers
thanks though, i'll keep it in mind! :)

try replace the Battery in the keyfob, the light's a LED which dont need muhc power but maybe there's not enough juice left in the Battery to active the central locking?
if the thing with the Battery and alternator dont work, try checking if there's anything that stays on after you lock the car which might drain the Battery, e.g. the light in the boot or on the indide of one of the doors?

cheers Matt, I'll give them a ring when I get the parts in :)

The bentley was B)!
caddy was nice also, bit OTT I thought though
I'd rather have the Bugatti Veyron then!
oh they were driving a TVR 350S first few minutes, and comparing it to a Noble Mk2 with the new 3.0 litre engine
good show again!
:)

cool m8, can ya put my name top of the list for that!
well i've had 2 jags before so i'm not unfamiliar with the scenario, unfortunately I'm a positive kinda guy so I keep thinking it'll work out okay with the next one! :)
heye well who knows, hopefully this time this'll be the end of the repairs, and not the beginning of a whole list of other problems....
.. keep sayin to myself, next time dont just buy a car cause you like it, get it checked out first!!... :D
-
tsk tsk tsk, you've broken your new toy already eh! :P :winky: :D

Let me know how you get on with exhaust i would like to make the back pipes on mine bigger but have not seen any after market pipes for the mk1.I hope it is low on oil as i had this problem once and had to have an engine rebuild as the light flickerd when reved.
Well I've gotta sort out the calipers and brake pads first, I dunno how bad the situation with the exhausts is yet, once that's done I gotta get someone to have a look at it, maybe they can fix it with a little welding
But if i do decide to get a new exhaust I'll be sure to let ya know! :)
found some nice one's already but i don't really know how it works with exhausts, I'm guessing you cant just fit a random exhaust on yer car, so i'm guessing i h ave to look for one that's specifically made for my car..

I hope Lexus did a FULL CHECK on the car before you continue with the spending.
Shame about the exhaust. They're supposed to last the life of the car as their stainless an' all.
Personally, I thought the idea of the Lexus was discretion rather than flash. Also if you do long journeys in it (also what I thought the car was designed for), a noisy exhaust will get on your nerves.
There was a Mk IV which was being broken somewhere on this forum.
Well i agree it's about discretion, I'm not gonne get a boyracer exhaust, I just want one that'll give it a bit more grunt when i'm revving it, it's gotta stay quiet when i dont of course! :-)
my old Jag was quite noisy, but that never bothered me, even on long journeys.. :)

Thanks Matt!
I've found a place I can get the parts on half price already so far, so we're getting there! :D
-
well i aint no expert, so these are just wild guesses!
- pads gone? (light should come on soon then?)
- one of the calipers not working properly (is it pulling to one direction whilst braking?
- pads have worn unevenly?
i'm sure one the real experts will be here shortly! :D
-
:D well the missus said yes so it looks like i'm comin!
on sunday that is.... :)
hey i got things to do! :duh: :D
-
well it might be a :duh: question but i was wondering that as well!
-
Thanks mate, I'll send him a PM :D

Hi!
As you might have read in my earlier posts I'm in need of a front right caliper and front brake pads for my 92 LS, the Lex dealer in chester quoted me £300+ for the lot, which is rather steep I'd say!
I've found this site in the US where i can get them for half the price, including 2-7 day delivery, but I dont know whether they're the correct parts or not, does anyone know the part numbers for these items?
....also, anyone ever had any dealings with www.autoparts-autoparts.com ? :)
