  1. It is a little overpriced - but if it is all straight with a full service history and in excellent condition then go for it. They are quite juicy if you have a heavy foot - but if you are concerned about your fuel consumption this possibly isn't the car for you :) Service wise they are the same as any car really. Might be worth making sure the major service has been done (cam belt etc..) as that is a big expense that you won't want to pay.
  2. Seconded, and I will throw in a PMSL for good measure.
  3. Afternoon all, Can anyone recommend a good and cheap powdercoater service in Hertfordshire? I have just acquired a set of Work Emotion VR Kai wheels for my IS and want them in spiffing condition before going anywhere near the car! Thanks in advance!
  4. Hi all, Can you tell me, generally speaking, if I add a decent make cat back system to the IS, would it increase the volume a little without making it a. too raspy which I hate or b. too loud? I just want a little more boom from the exhaust, but nothing too crazy.
  5. Can they still not use the key physically to enter the vehicle? I would claim from the insurance and be done with it. Afterall, that is what you pay it for!
  6. Saw this on the Japspeed facebook site and the SXOC, thieving bastids!
  7. Thanks for this - it actually helps a lot! Cheers :)
  8. Hi all, First up, my new Sony stereo isn't working any more, I suspect a fuse. Can anyone tell me where the fuse for the stereo is in the car so I can replace it? Also - are there any other systems linked to this fuse that will also now not work so I can be sure it is that that is the problem? Second up - when the car is left to sit for a day, when I start it I get the smallest little puff of grey smoke after the car turns over for a second or two. It's defo not blue, so is this just a little unburnt fuel just burning off as it takes a couple of cranks before the engine fires? Thanks in advance all!
  9. Cheers mate, if there are people that know they are hiding from me!
  10. Hi chap, It's an aftermarket unit with an amp bypass cable attached already. Front speakers and tweeters work a treat, but the rears aren't playing. Any suggestions?
  11. Hi all, Just discovered that my IS200 has decent after market speakers, which was great, but also discovered that they aren't connected! Can anyone suggest the routing I should take with new cables that I want to run back there? Will it be a rear seat out job? Thanks in advance! Lee
  12. Never mind, sorted it myself - just didn't bother connecting them!
  13. Apologies if I have posted this in the wrong section, but I will be installing an after market stereo tomorrow and need to know what colours the following leads are on the standard loom: Stereo illumination Power antenna Thanks in advance! Lee
  14. I'm 27, 8yrs NCB, SP30, Fully comp + protected - £550 there or there abouts. That's also with the wife on, though she will NEVER drive my pride and joy!

  16. That kind of money isn't really worth the loss as it won't even touch a new stereo + fascia and ISO leads :S OR... I have an idea Is the housing easy to mod?
  17. How much do the screens / motorised units etc go for usually? I have sat-nav on my phone, I just want some music in my car! Would be a shame to lose the navigator setup - but without spending hundreds upon hundreds I am lacking options.
  18. Hi guys, In the ever lasting quest for music in my car, I am now at a point where I am considering selling the navigator setup so I can fit an after market stereo hassle free. How much does the setup usually go for, and how difficult is it to remove all bits (sat nav unit / DVD thingy / centre console with remote) - as all of it will go. Can it even be fitted into another car easily or is it just not worth it? I just really can't justify spending so much money repairing a unit which will inevitably fail again or getting a new one from Lexus. The grom didn't work for me and my radio doesn't pick up FM so no FM transmitters. To top it off, the tape player seems buggered too as it makes the loudest clicking noise whilst playing. Triple attack by my stereo! Help!
  19. I'd also be interested in this - I have the original Lexus ones at the mo, but they have seen better days.
  20. Genius. Picasso eat your heart out.
  21. I am very fortunate that Mr Rudus' friend came to see me yesterday evening, and after much faffing around we managed to get it working in his car - so it now has a new owner :) I have also found a local audio place that has an engineer that is familiar with the repair of this error and will do it for £150 + vat. When I get this done in a couple of months, I will advertise the details so everyone can benefit - as that seems to be a cracking price!
