  1. That's basically what I'm thinking. The GThaus is gorgeous but I think it's a tad too aggressive with the valves are open. This said only as my previous car was silly loud, like deafeningly so. I'm looking to pair the Apexi non resonated mid with a stainless Tom's rear. Sounds nice on YouTube at least!
  2. So the modding begins... Looking at the Apexi non resonated midpipe. Anyone have any experience with it and can share their experience?
  3. I showed my mate Eco mode and said that's the only time it will ever be purposely activated.... shame you can't just default to Sport+ as it will live there. Fuel economy is for the hybrids 🙂
  4. Can now make it official!! 2016 Graphite Black, Red Interior, Mark Levinson - Speedfreek 😎 What a car!
  5. Private sales will always be less than dealer though - but I didn't pay far off 33. Have to say, though I'm yet to pick the car up, Asim at Monza is really good to deal with. Loves the GSF too, hence having sold a few of them already!
  6. There's another black one for sale on Pistonheads 🙂 Click me
  7. That's because I pick it up Thursday. Blue one is still 'available' too - but that's also sold. They keep the adverts up until the car is actually gone - up until that point, who knows what might happen 🙂
  8. D'oh, well in that case... according to the advert it's graphite black.
  9. I missed out leaving a deposit on it by 40 mins, I'm not even joking. So I bought the black one instead. Not even mad about it, black one is still gorgeous.
  10. Looking forward to adding my details here... don't want to tempt fate before I've picked it up 😄
  11. Thanks fellas. Had to be done! My last Lexus was a GS300h - I didn't really like the CVT or the infotainment or that it wasn't pokey enough - the GSF and naviplus seems to cure all those issues 🙂
  12. It isn't any more - I collect it next Saturday, cash sale and they did a VERY good deal. Was going to buy the blue one they had but sadly I was beaten by about an hour... always the way. Very much looking forward to getting back into the Lexus family, and into a GS-F 🙂
  13. Personally I don't know why they bothered with the paddles anyway. When you move it into sequential mode, the difference between each 'gear' is noticeable, significantly so if you knock it down a couple. The paddles on the other hand, utterly useless. I'm in ECO mode all the time as I particularly like how smooth it is and how it restrains my monumentally heavy right foot - the savings I've made going from an IS250 manual to a GS300h auto have been drastic, and that is in part due to ECO mode moderating my driving. Unlike my friends BMW which also has different driving modes, it's refreshing to see the Lexus modes actually translate to real world performance - ECO to normal is a bit more pep in it's step and ECO/Normal to Sport is drastic.
  14. Awesome - well that's only reinforced what I was thinking. I do a fair bit of motorway miles, so having a bit of extra wafty power with decent economy sounds ideal.
  15. That's exactly the type of reply I was hoping to get - thank you. I was leaning toward one as the IS250 I have now is nippy, but nippier and slightly better on fuel would be better still. Aside from making sure the batteries have been checked in line with recommendation - do the Lexus hybrid batteries suffer any common problems?
  16. Thanks John, but that doesn't really help. I've driven both - but I've not lived with both. Budget as mentioned allows purchase of the higher priced model - but I don't know if the 'extras' over the 250 are worth the additional. For instance, what made you decide to buy a 450h over it's counterparts?
  17. Hi guys, In the next month or two I'll be looking to upgrade my trusty IS250 to a GS (circa 2012 and newer) - but I'm torn. The budget allows for a GS450h, but does the additional power and hybrid powertrain really justify the additional cost? If you had to chose, what would you go for and why? Thanks in advance!
  18. Holy ****** - I bought this car in July and am trying to sell it now. Looks like I've been stitched up a kipper. Given how many cars I've bought and sold over the years, you would think I would have done something as simple as a damn MOT history check. Absolutely gutted. EDIT: Just dropped the price massively to reflect this. My own foolish mistake is gonna cost me... live and learn I guess. :(

  20. Might I suggest you take it to a garage for inspection? If it is driving so wildly and you don't know what you are looking for, you are potentially putting yourself and other people at risk when you drive it. Get it checked out properly by experts. It might turn out to be nothing expensive!
  21. You could buy a new car for that money. You need to change garage if they want to charge that much for a HG replacement!
  22. Could be something as silly as a faulty rad cap so it isn't holding pressure.
