I didn't mean those menus. In my car I just have to press arrows up and down to see "average mpg" or "mpg after refueling". It shows the same thing in the manual for the pre 2012 models too. It should be on the same menu as the cruising range on the little screen really.

You should have those really. If you manage to find them, Im sure you should be able to reset the MPG.

Try using the arrows themselves without pressing any other button. If that doesnt bring the options up, try hitting the menu button on the left side of the enter button and then using the arrows.

Shouldnt make a difference what mode you are in.

Using the up and down arrows only on the steering wheel, find something which says fuel economy or anything like that and try to hold enter for longer than a second to see what happens.

You mentioned it keeps coming back - it could be that the system date is wrong or it thinks you're in September 2015.

AFAIK we can't really change the system date, only the time which means it might be a dealer trip. They might even do it for free?

From what I can gather,  the manual says to press clear and when prompted to do so, click yes on the past record screen and the consumption screen on the nav. Have you tried it for both?

It also says you can clear the info screen which is between the speedo by using the arrows and then pressing enter for more than 1 second to clear it. You might want to reset average fuel economy that way to see if it works?

Hi Keith,

The only thing I can think of really is to try the "clear" button at the top, next to Past Record. If that doesn't work, let me know as your system looks different to mine slightly.

If it doesnt work, probably the best thing to do is go into the settings and there should be something under "general settings" which says "remove all personal data" or something along the lines of that. That may work but only do that after you have tried the "clear" button as it'll also remove things like POI you have put on the nav and home etc etc
