Dear All,
following on from the JAE suggestions thread started by Bazza, this thread is for some info and feedback on a show class that will be sponsored by my company.
Basically the class is open to all that have carried out a unique modification. There are no limits on what it could be, for instance:
# Car PC's
# Re-upholstering
# Engine covers
The list is endless!
The class will be judged on 4 areas:
1. Originality
2. Work put in by the member
3. Functionality
4. Looks!
And anyone that enters the class will need to show us all aspects of the work, including a demo of it working (if applicable!), and talk us through what they did in laymans terms!
Basically, to enter this class you don't need to have a heavily mod'd car, it doesn't have to be an IS, as long as you have a unique mod you would like to enter.
THERE ARE NO SPECIFIC TYPES OF MOD THAT YOU MUST HAVE DONE TO ENTER, IT'S OPEN TO ANYTHING!!
So, anyone gonna enter this?
Anyone got any feedback on it?

good idea stu
i would be up for a meet in that area :D
my first ever LOC meet was your one last year.
I remember it well!
Anyone else gonna suggest some stuff to do, and where then?
Stu

norwich was only a suggestion for a venue, but please do feel free to add some more ideas!! Thats why i posted up!!

Right,
despite my experiences of organising meets etc in the past, i though it was around about time we had a little get together in the norfolk/suffolk area, so that we can all put some more faces to usernames!
I'm open to suggestions as to activities (if any), venue, location, date, time etc etc
Please state interest in this thread, but this is only to gauge interest at the mo, if there is enough, a new thread will be started, and all details will be included in that.
One possible suggestion i have, is that my company should (fingers, legs, eyes, arms, toes and balls crossed) have secured the first set of premises in the not to distant future, and therefore that could be used as a venue to meet up, BBQ and conversations, and then head to a bowlign alley or something. It's in Norwich, so i don't know if it's to anyones interest, and i still don't know when, or even if, we are gonna get the keys! :shutit:

well, i've just read the entire thread, and am incredibly confused as to what it was all about in the first place!
The only thing that has popped into my mind AGAIN as a result of reading this, is the possibility of a re-spray, whilst keeping the body styling etc the same.

personally i use Autoglym super high resin polish, then turtle wax metallic wax :D

they're driving me nuts with it, and as has been said, vodafone is almost the best of a bad bunch.
i was with singlepoint, and had no problems, but then vodafone bought them out, and i'm back to square one with it all now.

Right, i've had a real bad day, and to cut a long story short, read the text below that i have just sent to Vodafone Customer Services about my discontent.
Dear Sir/Madam
I placed an order for an upgrade
of my current contract and phone
on Monday 13th June. The contract
and line rental details were
amended accordingly however the
phone (a motorola V3 RAZR in
BLACK) has been a different issue.
I was assured during the phone
call that the phone would be
ordered for me on Tuesday 14th
June in the morning and that the
phone would arrive with me on
Wednesday 15th June.
After ensuring that someone was
going to be at my house all day to
take delivery of said phone it
never arrived.
I then phoned yourselves to check
the status of the order to be told
that there had been no order
placed and when i was in the
process of being transferred to
another department to deal with
the issue i was cut off.
I then rang back to continue
discussing the issue further and
spoke to a supervisor in the sales
team who gave me a months free
line rental for my inconvenience
and assured me that the situation
would be rectified as soon as
possible and that the sales person
had made the mistake of not
ordering phones before.
I was then phoned back by the
gentleman that i placed the
initial order with and was told
that the phone was now ordered and
would be with me soon however it
was NOT the phone i had requested.
I had BEEN ordered a SILVER V3 and
i HAD ordered a BLACK V3. I was
then told that the phone i wanted
in the colour i wanted was not in
stock and i would have to wait
until tomorrow to get a date for
the phones to arrive at your end.
My issues with all of this palava
are as follows:
1. Why was the phone not ordered
when i was told it was going to be?
2. If it was not in stock why was
i not informed that the phone
would not be arriving when stated?
3. Why was my order changed from a
BLACK phone to a SILVER phone?
I have had a contract phone with
Vodafone in the past but changed
to Singlepoint after being highly
dis-satisfied by the level of
customer service i received. Since
this is my first dealing with
Vodafone since that time i have to
say that i am again highly dis-
satisfied with the level of
customer service.
I am seriously regretting taking
up another contract with vodafone
again as a result of all this.
As previously mentionned i am
highly dis-satisfied and want this
situation resolved (including
delivery of the BLACK phone i
ordered) shorlty or i will be
taking my business elsewhere.
I await your response.
Anyone have any suggestions as to how i can kick them about until they give me what i asked for?

I like that idea, that way IF it did come off, it could be a combined LOC & TOC meet!

we need to raise £675 plus jump costs still, and there are now 19 days before the deadline.
This would be a real shame to lose what funds have already been pledged, but i did specify that i would only jump if we raised £1500 plus jump costs.
Stu
-
Excellent stuff! Nice one Mike!
Problem is peeps, that we still need to raise a load more cash, and there is only about 18 days to do it in!
Stu
-
Firstly, a big thanks to those that have put down that they will sponsor the jump!
Secondly, we are no where near the total needed to get me to do the jump.
I'm gonna have to put a date on it to have raised the cash by now, as otherwise this will just keep going and going.
I'm gonna say that if the cash hasn't been raised (£1500 + jump costs) by the 1st July 2005, then i'm gonna pull the plug on this, which would be a real shame.
Come on peeps, there are thousands of members of the club out there, so lets get to this target yeah!!!!
Stu

Mine went through it's MOT with them on.
All you have to do is make sure that the light they give off is red, hence why i have red bulbs in them!
Stu

Thanks for the PM's guys, i'll get onto that tomorrow sometime.

Register the name!
I've had a look on 1&1 (the guys that hosted my Rugby Forums) and have come up with a price for the names i want, but it's offering me Domain Suggestions as well. And i have no idea what these are, let alone if i need them.
What i'm doing is registering every variant of the name (i.e. .com .biz etc etc), and thats all i want to do now.
Can someone help me out here with some advice please?
(Also i'm looking for a site designer, so if you fancy doing that for a fee, let me know!)
Thanks peeps!

The figure is going up peeps and is looking very good, but if you really want to see me jump out of a perfectly safe aeroplane, you're gonna have to do better than that!!!! :D
It's for a very good cause, so lets show them what we are mad of eh?
Stu
-
Jules,
PM Chris Shipley, he might be able to help.
Stu

Thats one way to look at it, but believe me, you're really gonna have to pull out the stops and raid the piggy banks, I'm pretty sure that the NOT jump sponsorship could double what has been raised so far, and then some!!!!
Turf those moths out of the wallets, raid the piggy banks, cash in the pensions!!! If you want me to jump...............
SHOW ME THE MONEY!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D
