Personally i use a gel, i think it's turtle wax's own stuff, but it works a treat! I make sure that i have given the tyres a good clean with a sponge and some detergent first mind, to remove all the s**t that they collect.
I don't use it very often, just for shows and when i have cleaned, polished and waxed the motor, so it looks really well finished!

First off, this is not being organised by me, i just got a flyer from a staff member at work, and she was putting them out for a friend that is organising it. LOC has no involvement!
Ok, it is a Classic Car Show, and will have an autojumble and car boot going on too. If you are interested in doing a car boot ot auto-jumble it is free to have a pitch.
I'm not sure if there will be much call for the sort of stuff we deal in on the Jap motors, but you can give it a try if you like!
It is going to be held at:
Norwich Rugby Club
North Walsham Road
Norwich
On:
Sunday 5th June 2005
If you want a pitch, you need to forward your info to the organiser, which you can do via email, but you'll need to PM me for it, as i'm not gonna post it up here.
So, anyone fancy a mini-meet type thing for this? I can do a BBQ at home, and then we can go to the show after if there is enough call for it.

Just a thought, but perhaps the featured ride can only be one that has been updated in the month previous?
Also, perhaps a nomination system could be used? Instead of choosing one month an IS, then the next a GS, then the next an RX and so on, why not let the members nominate a ride, and they can't nominate their own (just shot myself in the foot for my last post haven't i!! :P). And then poll the top three nominations to see which goes in.
Perhaps having categories too, i.e. heavily mod'd, mildy mod'd, standard, new cars in the garage and so on.
Stop me from rambling on if you like, but i'm in overdrive for ideas today for some reason!!!!!

I nominate mine to be featured!!!
It's just had a major update!!!
Stu

Just curious, as when the garage first started there was a featured car of the month, and it sort of stopped suddenly!
Stu
-
i nominated you sir!!

for some reason his username is now uderwaterworld55 or summit stupid. I'd still send the email to eBay.

i haven't got a reply yet, so i guess i ain't gonna get one now!
Never mind, maybe someone ought to send an email to eBay saying that this guy is basically advertising in a fraudulant manner, and is trying to make the car sound like it has a higher spec than it actually has.
I nominate........................

As far as it goes for sending the boys round, i'm quaking in my boots!!!

The deed has been done :winky:
Not only did i send him the link to this thread, but i also asked him where he got his LEXUS toolkit from. As far as i am aware, the only toolkit i got with my motor was the wheel brace et al, and they all have TOYOTA written on them!!! :P
Will let you know what he says!!!
Stu

i'll do that when i get home :winky:

I know i've spoken to several of you in the past about it, but i can't remember who it was for one, and for two, i've left it to the last minute possible, so i knew which i was gonna get!!

Ok,
Goldies, if you are a signwriter, or are a firm that does it and are after some business, please read the following thread!

The scoop should be fitted so that it covers the top part of the radiator, so the bolt on the right will fit straight in to the original hole and on the left you'll notice the extra hole i drilled through, just use a cable tie and secure it to the clip that locks on to the radiator
do you have a close-up picture of this?
i have the air scoop, and was wandering how the left side of it (as you face the engine) was secured. And to be honest, i'd rather not drill holes in it unless i have to, and especially don't want to do it and get it wrong after all the time it's taken me to get the scoop how i want it!
Stu
-
where abouts have you mounted the air scoop?
i thought it went in the same spot as the old intake for the standard system?

Wish i could have convinced my old man to get a Lexus. Instead he went for the 730d B*W, despite my objections, and my offers of taking him to the dealer and getting him a test drive or two!!!!
Some folk are just beyond help!!!!
Paintwork looks real nice on the LS, think i may well have to invest in some of this gear myself!!
Stu

i too have the IS300 air scoop, but what i have planned for it is a bit :winky: haven't fitted it yet tho, does it make much difference to the air feed then?
