  1. I left my RX400h for over three weeks, when on holiday back in March and it started without a problem.
  2. Would be interesting to know what others pay for their insurance. I have a 2008 RX400h , I live on the Isle of Man, aged 48 and pay just under £200.00 a year fully comprehensive with Direct Line.
  3. We dont have caravans on the Isle of Man, I just tow normal trailers. Decided to go with the proper Lexus part to be on the safe side, as it is a plug in device and will be guaranteed not to damage the cars electrcal systems. Got a price off lexuspartsdirect which came to just over £109.00 including VAT and delivery. My local Lexus Dealer came in at £110.00 including VAT with collection from their place. As the Dealer is only a couple of miles away, decided to go with the Dealer and support local business.
  4. I have had a towbar fitted to my RX400. It came with a universal wiring kit. Has anyone fitted this type to the RX, or have they played it safe and just gone for the offical Lexus kit?
  5. I'm averaging at the moment 25mpg. This is with mainly very short runs to and from work (about 4 miles) I try not to accelerate hard. Going to work is mainly down hill and mostly up hill going home.
  6. Just been to pick my car up, it turned out to be a loose bolt on a wishbone, which is what they told me. Just drove 10 miles back to my office and the noise has gone away.
  7. Mine makes a similar noise. I took it back to the garage I bought it from (Mercedes Dealer) and one of their technicians went for a test drive with me. He thinks it's coming from up front on the drivers side somewhere. Its going in on Friday for a proper check and hopefully a solution.
  8. I did about 550 miles away last week, most of it on Motorways at about 70mph. Conditions were pretty cold, often below zero and there was a lot of snow on the ground, but luckily not too much on the roads. The car performed very well, it returned 29.6 mpg over that distance.
  9. Hello. Just thought I would join this Forum, as in the last hour I've just picked up an RX400h. I traded in a 2007 Mitsubishi Outlander for it (and a hefty amount of cash). Its the SR Version in black with the Multimedia Package. Luckily my dog cage which was designed to fit in the Outlander just about fits in the Lexus. Not the greatest time of year to pick up a new car with all the snow on the ground. I live on the Isle of Man and am travelling over to England on Thursday and not really looking forward to the 200 mile drive over the snow covered roads, hopefully most of them will be clear by then. Off to read the handbook now.
