I used 2000 grit just the other day on my door, as long as there is a decent layer of lacquer, I found it ok. Polished then waxed after and looked good.

I got to drop something off first thing near Tamworth services J10 M42, so will be going A42, M42, M40, can meet you if you planning on getting to Gaydon for about 9:45 - 10:00. Not sure if I could let them touch my car, I'd have to inspect all the rags to make sure there is no bits in them lol. Chris, trick to arriving there kinda clean, drive real slow (60-70mph, it worked for me last time. No flies wedged in my grille or spread on my windscreen which is my pet hate.

What do people use to clean the rubber window strips, some of mine have like mouldy stains on them that I can't get rid of. And I was also wondering what product is best to make the plastic area around my window wipers black again, they are a bit faded now. Thanks

Machine polish if you have one. I use poorboys white diamond which is made for lighter coloured cars, and then I use poorboys nattys paste wax.
