  1. This is my personal opinion and from my personal experiences. I had so many issues and still having so if I were you dont bother would be my advice to you.
  2. Is that only for the music or handsfree too?
  3. Tramlining is when the treaded part of the tyre follows ruts in the road.Tyre wall rigidity also causes tramlining
  4. Has anyone got the above or a Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2 fitted on their IS250, and if so how is the ride. Thanks
  5. Does anyone know if the 'stained' wing mirrors are covered by warranty or has anyone experienced changing one under warranty. Yet again Lexus dealership does not know if it is they have to put a claim through first to find out if its accepted. This is becoming a joke now with Lexus.
  6. Well it looks like 'blur' or like 'water marks' that cant be removed. Its an SE-L.
  7. Just an update for those who might have a similar problem, as long as the car is on a low lmileage ie under 100,000miles it will be covered under extended warranty so long as you have one. Now I have another issue both my wing mirrors are stained not sure if this are normal.
  8. Thanks for that F.A, but the problem I am having is Lexus Sidcup doesn't think its a common issue or there has been any recall or it can be done under warranty. What I need is something concrete to convince them. Cheers
  9. I was told when i sent my car for service that I needed to change my calipers as they have seized. I remembered reading somewhere that this was done on a recall or under warranty. The dealer says there isn't any recall work for the calipers and they cant be changed under warranty. Can someone please tell me if the dealers is right or are they trying to wriggle their way out. Thank you
  10. Dunlop sp maxx and sp 01. Not sure about F1 but mine all 4 were new and it eventually got better definately after atleast 2000 miles.
  11. Mine did not roll but everytime I hit above 60 it feels like driving in a crosswind and this was after i had the track rod and steering rack and a brand new wheels .It got better after a few thousand miles of driving.
  12. Sounds quite like mine but not as bad, I would look at your tyres when you say 3 days old I assume they are brand new. Also for m my understanding and my personal experience the new tyres takes quite awhile to bed in. Another thing to look at would be the geo . I had a thread on IS250 here on a similar issue also do you know at what speeds this happens, was it only after 60mph or after 70 mph. Hope this helps.
  13. I thought I would give an update with my car having endured almost 6 months with steering and handling issues.I hope this might help someone who might have the same problems too. Lexus did a replacement on my steering rack and the steering felt more sturdier but the ride was still the same, then did the Geo with WIM,ride was slightly better but still wasnt as good as what it was before. After awhile I realised that the ride was getting better, I felt the car was more planted. Dis some research on this on some forums only to find out that having changed all 4 wheels it did take a long while for them to 'bed' in. So I am not sure the theory of brand new tyres 'bedding in a coupld of hundred miles is quite true, I think it all depends on the tyres make and the size and probably the way one drives.
  14. A week after renewing my warranty with Lexus I had my steering rack and oxygen sensor replaced total cost £3500, one of the best decisions I made. Its always the case when you think nothing will go wrong, and thats when everything will go wrong.
  15. 118 views and no one besides Tango had done a wheel alignment on a is 250. How odd is that.
  16. I feel for you and I have had mine for a year now, and I have forgotten the amount of times my car has been in and out of Lexus. Its a shame though lovely car but I personally dont think the techs in this country have the 'know how' or the knowledge to deal with issues.
  17. Thanks Tango I did get back to you on your email with regards to what WIM had said. Thanks
  18. Hello To All, I was told the geometry done on my Lexus was not right after I had my steering rack replaced. I was wondering if there is anyone here who are happy with the geo done on their is250 and dont mind loaning their report so I could use it in order to get it right as Lexus is willing to have a look at it and also sort it out for me. Any help is much appreacited. Thank you
  19. Just an update, had the car with Lexus for 3 days thet claim to have tested in on dry road and wet on a motorway but unable to find any issues with the steering. But having taken the car back and it still feels the same at speeds off 70mph it has kinda sway feeling. Any one had these experience before, also could I just find out if the steering rack and the tie rod end are the similar thing. Any help much appreaciated.
