  1. Hello Guys I know this has been talked about before So I just need to know 2 things the first is the facia adaptor from Toyota Does not have the holes cut out for the heatded front seats(Probaly becuse it was for a Altezza that does not have heated seats) so what have you guys done about this when Installing your radios leave the heated seat disconnected? Also is there a simple plug in radio harness for the IS200 Sport so is will convert to the standard iso conection without by passing the amp or rewiring anything? And if so where can these be purchased from? Regards Galee

    Badge Issues

The L on the front of mine left a hole , As my one was white I went to a local company and got some white vinyl then I can it to the size of the badge then stuck the vinyl and badge on the bonnet. It was a little off colour but better than holes. Might be a bit harder with a metallic green/Blue but still worth a try. Galee
  3. Where are you based? Do you know if the car has been svaed via the disabled loop hole? The car I am speaking about borrowing the bits from is the car that passed the sva no probs which is a 6mt RS200 4 cyl Beams is yours manual or auto? and when is the latest retest date? What is the name of the company that is doing your sva prep work? maybee someone here has dealt with them or knows of them? Galee
  4. Hello jasear no I had one Altezza I could not get through the sva so I bought another and swaped all the bits I mentioned so I had 2 Altezzas. The other one went straight through the sva so I used the parts off that. I have sold the other car now but I sold it to a friend and could probaly borrow it to use the bits to get your Altezza through if you get really stuck. Galee
  5. Hi had the same problem with mine Co were reading 0.54 and lamba was very slightly out diagnosed new cat tryed cat cleaner oil filter/air filter changed spark plugs + optimax fuel first still no joy. So I put in a new cat £190 and still no different then advised to put in a pre cat witch I did at a cost of £260 still the same and new lamba about £160 still the same. Also my car was not modified apart from a TRD exhaust system. In the end I spent £1500 more and taken it to about 8 people to try and sort it and no one could do it. In the end I bought another 4cyl Beams and changed the complete exhaust system with lamba and ecu. Even then when on my car at the m.o.t. station it was reading 0.1 but when I got to the sva center after hammering it to get it hot it read 0.24 on there machine. So got it through in the end but had to by another car and change parts but what else can you do as there are no friendly SVA testers ;) Galee
  6. Try what colin says first and if you speedo is reading correctly in Km it will be your chip(Convertor). I have had the old 1 or 2 in the past the have failed because of faulty or cheap nasty speedo convertor chips where did you get your from and how much also who fitted it? Galee

  8. Thanks Colin will give them a try as I can't find anyone breaking this model in the U.K. if they can't help I have seen a few Australian sites breking the 4cyl so that might be the only option if I have no joy there. Regards Galee P.s. Colin thanks for the info on the fault codes :winky:
  9. Thanks for the reply AltezzaScott I have just checked there website and there are 3 is200s on there but they are all 6cyl U.K. cars and I have now found out i need the throtle body from a 4cyl Beams only! which will make it a bit harder to find. Any other ideas anyone? Galee
  10. Hi Colin yes that managment light was coming on and the traction control light was flash when you put your foot down. Had the fault code read and it was throtle control error. Changed itwith the one off mine and it was fine so just looking for a replacment unit. Will speak to Lexus/Toyota on monday. Does anyone know of any IS200 or Altezza being broke? Galee

  13. Thanks Colin I have got it on thursday. Colin was it you who was selling the sport decals? If so any chance of 2 in silver? Galee
  14. Yes it would of had to be converted to pass the s.v.a. test unless they took it off after? You can check just unscrew the casing around the speedo 3 screws then unscrew the speedo 3 screws and see what is behind there. Regards Galee
  15. Welcome Mel and good to hear yet another Tezza owner , The speedo conversion is quite easy if you see the post below it explains the wiring side of it The chips are abot £45-£60 and can be purchased from many places but I buy mine from http://www.f-e-s.demon.co.uk and it comes with all instructions needed. I take it that you will have to s.v.a. your tezza? Regards Galee
  16. All sorted now it turned out it was the switch. Cheers Galee
  17. Ahh I see 2 screws that hold the stalk onto the steering coloum will check that next then. Galee
  18. Just bought a new Altezza 4cyln Beams auto and the front fogs are not working. I need them to be working to get it thought the s.v.a. I have checked the fuse in the passangers side fues box I think it was number 7 and that was okay. I had a quick look on my manual beams and I can hear a relay clicking when I turn the fog lights on in that .It is located behind the fuse box in the passanger side fuse box. I swaped that with mine but it still is not working and the relay is not clicking in the fuse box. Have checked the bulbs in the fogs and they are fine but there is no live getting to them. Is there any more fuses or relays that I can check before I have to take the airbag and the steering wheel off to check the stalk itself?. Also in need of a throtle control motor for 4 cyl beams manual does anyone know if it is the same as a Is200 u.k car and how much it would cost? Or if anybody knows anywhere where one is being broke? Cheers Galee
  19. Thanks L3X AV got it sorted now with some diffrent instructions. Cheers Galee
  20. Hi I have just bought myself another RS200 Beams but this time Auto and I am getting it ready for the s.v.a. test. Just taken the speedo out to put the speedo chip on but the instructions that I have got with the chip are not the same colours as Stated. I have the following instructions: Blue(from chip) >Top Row 1st from left red/yellow(connector end) SIGNAL Yellow(from chip) > Top Row 1st from left red/yellow(loom end) SIGNAL Red(from chip) > Bottom Row 4th from right green/black 12V Green(from chip) > Bottom Row 2nd from left brown/black Ground or Blue(from chip) >Top Row 1st from left red/yellow(connector end) SIGNAL Yellow(from chip) > Top Row 1st from left red/yellow(loom end) SIGNAL Red(from chip) > Bottom Row 5th from right green/black 12V Green(from chip) > Bottom Row 2nd from left brown/black Ground On my loom there is no yellow/red and the other colours are not where they should be. Does anyone has alternative instructions? Cheers Galee
  21. Hi Colin thank you for your input I did speak to TDI about 2 weeks ago but £75 a hour plus V.A.T and 6 week wait is too much and too long. As I need to have a retest before the end of February. Where can I buy a HKS version and do you think it will decrease the co? Regards Galee
  22. Hello Altezzascott tryed that m8 as I live in st. Albans and the nearest SVA centre to me is in Leighton Buzzard so it's about 20-30 miles drive which I have to drive to get there and I give it a good hard drive to get there and warm it up and have also try cat cleaner and super unleaded but still no joy. Galee
  23. Hello Boys & Girls I have been having a few problems getting me Altezza 4chyl Beams Manual getting it through the SVA. The car has a full TRD exhaust system on it. It is just above the accepted limit which is 0.3 but my Altezza is reading 0.42 which is very slightly out. I have replaced the cat and a new lamba sensor and it is very slightly down but not much. I have also put a pre cat on so now it has like to cats on it but still it is fail the co test. I have spent over £500 trying to get this through but it is still too high to pass. Since having this work done I have spoke too a auto electrician who advised me that a Apexi Super Air/Fuel Control unit who be able to make it pass , As you could make the car run as lean or as rich as you want. Do you think this could help me and if so were would be the best and cheapest place to get this from? I am running out of ideas and have had my spanking clean Altezza in my garage for the last 6 months while trying to get this sorted. Any help greatly received. Regards Galee
