petrol is back under £1 a litre and the road tax on the IS300 has stayed at 200 odd i thought it was going up to over £400 or something?
anyway she doesnt have any second hand value any more so no point in selling, just keep it and enjoy driving a nice solid car

On a suspicious note i hope i don't turn up to an empty hotel and everyone else is basking in laughter watching the CCTV from another hotel 500 miles away
now that would be funny ;)

I work just round the corner from Scotland Yard, the number of unmarked police cars round here is unbelievable, all sorts of cars, all colours I cant say there is a most common sort but my favourite is a BMW M5 that is often parked on the road near my office. I got a shock the other week when its sirens and lights came on as it drove off...

is the exhaust the same for the IS200 and 300 or are they different models?

I'm picking my IS200 sport up next week, and would like to learn more about this.
Firstly what are the telltale signs that the geometry needs lucking at - is it just tyre wear or is there anything about the steering or handling?
Do they all leave the factory right and drift out over time, or does WIM set them up in a way that's better than the factory?
Once done, how long will it last?
Can I ask what the price is?
(newbie to Lexus, apologies for all the questions!)
I can only speak for myself but when I bought my IS300 it had the factory settings for geometry and the tyres wore out within 10,000 miles on the insides. also the car tramlined a lot. The WIM settings were developed over time to solve these problems. First time I had my car done I couldnt believe how the handling was transformed. Also the next set of tyres lasted best part of 20,000 miles. To get the best out of it you should have the car checked up at regular intervals, I have done and its made a lot of difference to handling and also fuel economy is improved.
in short, worth every penny

Got WIm'd today at the meet and it makes a hell of a big difference. The car feels so much tighter and more planted on the road. Will take some getting used to but feels like a new car!!
Thanks Doc!!!!!!
there should also be a good improvement in fuel consumption as well!

whoa youre lucky to get out of that one with a few bruises, sorryabout the motor of course but at the end of the day that can be replaced

how many miles have those tyres done?
13000ks 8000miles treads still mint over tyres but the inside shoulders are gone. The one with my finger in let go at 115kmh 70mh thankfully I was driving not the wife, pulled it up safely.
thats outrageous, the first set of pirellis on my IS300 were basically toast after 9,600 miles, that was when I went to STS to get new tyres and Tony of WIM started sorting out the geometry. I should have complained to Lexus UK about it but I cant be bothered with stuff like writing complaints letters. I douby they would have bothered answering me anyway.......

hello welcome aboard

I absolutely despise RFT's but they will be mandatory on all new cars in the EU by 2015.
thats insane!

do most of you guys run 98 octane premium?... i dont know wot kinda of fuel you have in the UK though??
yeah i run my is300 on shell v-power which I think is 98 RON octane I get an extre 30 or so miles on a tank of this compared to the standard stuff (95 RON)

The whole arena is intended to be an experience you won't forget.. It is a million pound centre encompassing the best equipment available, from laser guided automatic tyre changers to the latest Hunter HD live acquisition Geometry calibration machine.
Wow all automated, put the car in one end and it comes out the other with new tyres and the geo all done, amazing.
Only joking Tony
Really chuffed for you mate, have you remembered to buy a kettle, fridge, coffee and tea bags though?
I wish it where that automated :D .... Thing is with the tyre changer is your wheels are valuable and a common complaint about tyre centres is the damage they do to the rim. This tyre changer acquires the wheel by laser then automatically removes/ fits the tyre, this solves the problem of hard to fit units like run-flat tyres and human error.
As for the check list?.... let me see
Kettle.... tick
Fridge.... not yet
Tea bags.... tick
Coffee... ordered one of those posh machines that dishes out unknown exotic coffee
Hi Tony
