  1. iT'S OBVIOUSLY THEY BROKE YOUR CAR......

well, unless you took the car there on that condition but  impossible .... u took the car for service without any bang or knocks.... after few hour later your car was like coming out from a scrap yards.

really feel sorry what Lexus "Cr :msn-cry: don" did something like this

  2. Hi All,

I found this on ebay which seems to be the right connections at the back of the stereo:

    http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/PC2-93-4-Lexus-Amplifier-By-Pass-ISO-Stereo-Head-Unit-Harness-Adaptor-Loom-Lead-/160661661057?pt=UK_Cars_Parts_Vehicles_Terminals_Cabling_ET&hash=item25682e6581

    BUT

The cable I have is this:

    http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/PC2-92-4-Lexus-Amplifier-By-Pass-ISO-Stereo-Head-Unit-Harness-Adaptor-Loom-Lead-/180734525470?pt=UK_Cars_Parts_Vehicles_Terminals_Cabling_ET&hash=item2a149e001e

As you can see in previous posts. Now, are there any sound/quality differences between these wires? They both seem to be AMP bypassers. I do have an amp, and the 2 large lexus speakers in the back. I just want to ensure Im making the most of the sound quality here.

i don't think the two cable would make any sound quality different.

  3. I honestly don't see the point in getting a top tray sat nav. Just upgrade youre current stereo system do a double din cd/DVD and sat nav combined unit and kills 2 birds with one stone. Not only does it give you easy to use sat nav but also upgrades the dash to modern da spec . Or am I missing something here ?

i can only think the word "angle" :shifty:

you have the 2 yellow cable connected together

it's need "re-mod" as if the two yellow connected your clock will keep stay "ON"

as one of the wire is the memory power (run the stereo memory setting)

Halfords sells things by reading the manual to you but not everything is bad as ppl trying to earn a living ... if things go wrong, they just remove it and you ended have scratches all over your console. there's pros and cons if we do our research :flowers:

    Hi,

Thanks for the reply, so have i got the wrong cable? Apparently Halfords have the cables connected to the 2 cables back of the stereo.

Is there not just a simple way of doing this? haha

No you didn't got the wrong cable hardness

just that need do some work on it

not entirely supporting what i'm saying here and i might be wrong

you can try d.i.y remove the amp cable and plug the cable you bought see if the clock will turn on

if it does then one of the cable need to be remove/re-route

if it doesn't then jolly good :innocent:

there's a cover showing how to remove the stock amp, u might wanna have a look

make sure all the connection is 100% working before setting up ur double din stereo as i see alot smash the screen when taking off the stereo in and out and drop the face on to the gearshift stick :nuke:

you have the 2 yellow cable connected together

it's need "re-mod" as if the two yellow connected your clock will keep stay "ON"

if you remove the stock amp cable and plug the Amplifier Bypass Lead Adapter without connecting to the stereo you instantly turn on the center console clock without even turning "ON" the ignition key

as one of the wire is the memory power (run the stereo memory setting)

need to be cut and re-route (additional cable clip need, soldering)

  6. Sat nav screen now working perfectly just took it out and cleaned up the contacts on the ribbon cable and no more flickering well chuffed shame the map is well out of date but got Tom Tom on my phone anyway but I like to see what roads are up ahead.

    Well done :driving:

  7. i think this is a common probelm on the is200 but my drivers seat heigh adjustment does not seam to work. I can hear the motor going but it just does not move. i can move it front and back no problem.

I think i need the change the motor and i have seen this on ebay

    http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/LEXUS-IS200-ELECTRIC-DRIVERS-SEAT-MOTOR-FRONT-/170726754225?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item27c01b87b1#ht_318wt_1161

does anyone know if this is the right part to sort the problem?

NOT gonna pay that silly money for that lil motor with that price you probably can buy a whole working electric seat. just need to search around :shifty:

  8. you can mod the rear view mirror as well the side mirror auto dim (just connecting a power source)

    http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Lexus-GS-300-Breaking-Auto-Dimming-Rear-View-Mirror-Excellent-/281167319083?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&fits=Car+Make%3ALexus&hash=item4176e0d02b

there's aftermarket HID kit online ( the IS200 limited edition had HID pre-install ) not sure the aftermarket kit will let you pass the MOT.

only 50/50 knowledge i might be wrong :eerrrmm:
