  1. Hi , as Pete has said ,cleaning out the filter will probably cure fault 1349 however if the code is 1346

(vvt sensor circuit range/performance problem ) then the cause is almost certainly the cam belt timing which will be 1 tooth out .This happened to me when I changed the timing belt although I was very careful and checked everything ,after a re-check I found it to be 1 tooth out (it still ran OK but with the light illuminated) . I would take it back to whoever did the work and ask for the code . if it is 1346 get them to remove the cam belt cover and double check their work .

    shud thanks 'IanS200' :zee:

  2. Was the code P1349 vvti system malfunction?

If so just wants filter cleaning in oil control valve. Its just in front of oil filler cap under vvti cover. There is a banjo union on right hand side, undo bolt and there's a filter on the end, needs cleaning as it will be blocked.

is there a picture or diagram shown where it's actual looks like.... i'm a bit nooby here :geek:

    thanks

  3. For me it was my power steering belt. I tightened all 3 just to be sure. I also had the squeel from the back brakes. Lexus sorted that for me when it was in for a service

will give it a go this weekends (hope it's sunny day :hohoho: )

i did replace the rear disc plate... as i had a big pot hole bang recently and the base guard plate (small bracket) that saperate the hand brake line some how broke (rusty n corroded) and was sitting inside the rear disc plate making sound... all sorted now..good time :innocent:

  4. stick on colour vinyl will do the trick if you dun wanna spent a lot £££ (use hot glue gun to finish the edges :shifty: )

    change/remove just suit your liking...

was tempted to get the real cover thing but when i saw all those stone chip changed all that... :zee:

  5. Just notice something

changed the engine oil with Mobil one fully synthetic 'mix' with Lucas engine repair oil..... car sit there on weekends (sat n sun)

notice when i start up the engine can hear the engine make a funny sound can't describ what sound was....might be the oil too thick

after few minute its run smooth.... only happen when the engine not running in 2days

    something i shud aware off??

  6. Hi everyone

Bet this annoy squeaky sound is :tsktsk: NEVER :tsktsk: let us alone or it's just me that i love my car and want everything to be perfect smooth ride. :driving:

the sound come and goes depends what the weather actually is :hocus-pokus: .

can't figure the exactly sound from and defo not the wheel bearing as the stand still engine running the sound is there. i'm no mechanic but suspect the steering wheel pump or the belt need (recent changed a year ago)

hope anyone can share their experience or any annoy sound that need to be aware off.

    thanks :zee:

  7. Windscreen is in. Free Bosch wipers fitted. Free tax disc fitted. Just waiting until 15:30 for the sealant to stick. And I'll be on my way. I feel sad that I now have a Pilkington windscreen, where all the other windows are Lexus Stamped!?!

does the screen came with screen heating wire line? still puzzle insist on lexus screen or xxxx brand if i need to replace mine :geek:

  8. Another has come up on ebay. Its a auction and at £12. Will bid but not gonna pay silly money. mine is cracked in 2 places :(

i've use fiber kits to repair mine... not a smooth finish but will touch up later probably on sunny warmer time :zee:

good idea. How do they get broken anyway? It was like it when i bought the car

well i think it has to do with the heat and the age of the car really :nuke: :nuke:

some might in real bad condition by simply lite tap on in it crack like "prawns crackers" lucky mine was on early stage just snap into two parts. lil more hardener paste will do the tricks :shifty:

saw somewhere before ... "toyo*****" can't really remember the actuall name of the site which sold the parts for £25 before the fiber thingy came to my mind....

best of luck to the betting winner :driving:
