yer my 07plate 220d was fine too although mpg was 32 it was still 7 more than the 250. didnt have any issues with that car either.but hey each to there own. the 59 220 i got is the same interior as the 250 just engine seems different

well my experience is a little different. my 220d went in over xmas for some warranty work and they gave me a 59 250 auto. i spent shed loads of money on fuel because of my short journeys, loads more than my 220d would have used. i dont seem to be having issues with soot up egr as i once a week give it a blast up the motoway for about an hour.

still waiting for the meerkat to be delivered though :)

well my first was an 07 220 se which was good but this one is perfect i only do around 6k a year my work is 3 miles from home so you can imagine the small journeys. i do have a blast up and down the motoway everyweek to clean it out. i love my car. its the cleaner g/km version but still @ 177bhp so its slightly cheaper tax. oh just a quick tip my insurance was with swift cover @ £600 p/year 11+ NCD fully comp i changed to Hastings essentials and its now £255 fully comp. so woop woop

im on my second lexus in 12 months. not because i had issue but because i saw my cherry red one and had to have it. i will probably be a lexus owner for life now. best car i have ever driven

i wanted the rear sun shield but it never came with it

wiper warm is in the row of 3 buttons on the right of the steering wheel. little picture looks like a windscreen with a line on it. takes a few mins to warm up but careful if you gunna touch em they get hot and the button i dont know what it does is on the bulkhead above the footrest not on the dash or the plastics

i have posted somewhere here about a random button i found. i had a 07 220se with a random button that i cant find any explanation for. just above the footrest in the drivers footwell is a small button. i pressed it a few times but nothing noticable happens. i know have a 59 220se-l and the same button is there, still nothing happens (that i can see) anyone know what it is ? p.s my fav button is the wiper warmers

Gotta admit my 07 220dse felt solid and was silent. Minimal road noise but I did get the odd CRACK from the dash warming up or cooling down. I'm just waiting for my 59 220se-l to get its mot then ill find out what noises thatzs got. Hopefully none. Its got 18s i stead of the standar 17s.But they are lexus branded wheels.

i know what you mean i had a sticky clutch pedal (but it got sorted on warranty) but at the time i was proper in love with the car and all i could see was my warranty running out and being left with a car thats going to cost a fortune to sort out that should have been sorted on warranty. but thankfully it all got sorted no quibbling personnally if i had 'bad' times with a certain dealership i would defo voice my issues. like Chris is200SportTTE said you are the customer that has just spent a shed load of cash. to be honest i have never used cardiff but i have had no problem with Lexus-Reading or Lexus-Swindon always very very helpful. personnally if i was you and started to feel bad against the car i would give it em back. im sure they have a 30 day no quibble money back. have a look in the finance agreement and/or Order form i think. but i suppose my expierence is different and to be honest ill be staying with lexus for the foreseable (well at least until the gs250 comes down in price enough for me to get one :D) before you do rock up at cardiff wanting ya money back, try emailing all your issues to this man jon.williams@tgb.toyota.co.uk I garantee you will get a reply within 24hrs (he is the President and Managing Director of Toyota GB / Lexus GB) hes got a snot-a-gram shield on his email and customer service pick it up fast. yer when the 07 220 went in for the sticky clutch they gave me an 09 250 auto that had an Aux jack no usb though. my 07 220 had a 12volt fag lighter socket in the armrest ill find out tomorrow afternoon :D

you know im not sure if its got an aux port my 07 never did, anyway ill stop hijaking this thread now ,, ta

well like i said i had the 07 220dse for 12 months and apart from the 30-35 mpg its been pretty solid, thats why im going back to lexus tommorow. its the best car i have ever had and im hoping the 59 plate model just as good if not better . jsut a shame that theres no bluetooth phone accessories

i gotta admint reading some of these horror stories almost stopped be buying my 07 220 se last year, but i did anyway and i have to say i think i have been lucky. i love the car love the leather bum warmers/coolers and the rest of the comfort. i had only one hiccup when just before xmas last year the clutch pedal was sticking down so Lexus replaced the master cylinder and on inspection the changed a caliper too all FOC. i gotta admit though no matter how i drive i cant break above 35mpg! although i dont do alot of long journeys i only do about 6k a year :D anyway tommorrow im picking up a 59 plate 220 se-1 with some18inch 5 spokes (lexus branded). :D and its cheaper tax !!!!

Hi all i got the above motor and im well in love with it albeit i only just get about 33 mpg but hey how its better than some i read here. anyway i was wondering if anyone can tell me what this strange little button does ? where the footrest is just above the footrest is a button that seems to do nothing when pushed ? i only know coz i drive with no shoes on and i felt it with my toes, pressed it. nothing happenes tried it at night and nothing happens .. so its not the headlight reset,, ta
